This review is long overdue! I have been a member at Inner Peaks since the very week I moved to Charlotte in June of 2019 - in all of my years climbing at Inner Peaks this past year has by far been the best thanks to the amazing team at Inner Peaks NoDa and the incredible they have done since opening in Oct of last year! The NoDa location is a facility set up exclusively for Bouldering. They also offer weekly yoga, a small gym with weights and other machines, a kilterboard, pull up bars, and barbells for strength training. The walls themselves are exceptionally crafted - my favorite are the entryway right and left walls that are perfectly flat for slab climbing, two cave styles sections for overhang bouldering, and a huge horseshoe shaped main room with various wall configurations and inclinations. When you arrive you are greeted by a member of the team - Jesus, Seth, and Olivia are almost always there and are super fun and helpful, always greeting everyone like family. The lead setters at the location Rylee and Jazzy are phenomenal - whether its slab, overhang, competition style, heavy volume use, anything at all - they always find a way to create unique problems! One thing they excel in is creating sets that have a running theme so you can work your way up from a V1 to a V7+ and really honest your skills. Josh, the manager of the NoDa location, has been an awesome leader for this group and it is beyond cool to get the chance to chat and hang with him during a gym session. You can see his passion for the work as he is always making rounds in the gym, talking to climbers, and assessing how to better serve the community through both climbing and the social events that they host! So proud to call Inner Peaks NoDa my home gym and grateful for the hardworking of the people who make it special!
