Great Location, great service, great products, awesome selection and deals that can't be beat. I bought a gretsch G5655 marked as a used/demo with a nice discount of the standard price shipped to Ontario. It arrived packed with plenty of bubble wrap in a Gretsch box it looked brand new! But the volume pots were dead on arrival cutting out and even a healthy dose of contact cleaner deoxit couldn't save them... so the guitar didn't work at first.. but for the discount I really don't care and you shouldn't either. I called my local Long and Mcquade, and they told me they will repair it at no charge to me! Thats what I call great service! I fix all my own guitars and have built 4, and last year learned to do my own guitar repairs including wiring, setups, and fret leveling, for this Gretsch... I got out my soldering iron and bought two 9$ CTS solid shaft 500k Potentiometers which were an upgrade to the mini pots that came with this Gretsch Guitar, though its arguable if pots affect your guitar tone much. Using some string through the body and a coat hanger I was able to install the new pots on this Semi Hollow Gretsch, semi-hollow and hollow-body guitars and much harder to install new electronics but it can be done with enough patience and a youtube tutorial. For a 25% discount i'm very happy, the guitar itself is near mint condition after a light polish and new strings, and of course my new potentiometers and after all potentiometers are replaceable parts and replacing them is part of guitar ownership. Seriously go check out the used/demo guitars for a nice discount and a near perfect guitar. Thanks/Merci Long & Mcquade, I am happy to do business again with this location in Quebec, getting it shipped to me in Ontario and I have 16 guitars with room for more. *edit: 2025 Aug Still great!

I have purchased 5 guitars from here in the last couple of months and each experience was a pleasure. Staff were very helpful and even quickly repaired an issue with one of the guitars. Definitely will be back to buy more. By far the best Long And McQuade I have had the pleasure to visit. Special mention to Gabriel for all his help and advice.
