We have loved working with Vanessa from Jack’s Mum Dog Training over the last few months. Vanessa has provided us with practical advice and tips on how to train our whippet Milo, while also providing useful insights into his underlying psychology. The training has been completely tailored to our needs, and Vanessa has been an absolute pleasure to work with! Thank you for all your help ☺️

We have been training with Vanessa over the past couple of weeks to help our puppy with separation anxiety and to help him be on his own alone in the house. Vanessa has been so wonderful. Her advice is so easy to follow and you can really feel like you’re helping your dog with a kind and thoughtful approach. We have gone from feeling overwhelmed and confused to prepared, motivated and knowledgeable in just a couple of weeks. And we can already see a huge improvement in his sense of calm around being left. Would recommend her so highly!

I couldn’t be happier with my experience! Vanessa has been absolutely amazing — incredibly professional, patient, and genuinely dedicated. She’s always very helpful and never makes me feel like any question is too small or too much trouble. Whenever I have concerns, she responds quickly and always provides clear, effective solutions. Her training methods are not only professional but truly effective. I’ve seen real progress, and every session feels productive, enjoyable, and encouraging. I always look forward to our training sessions because she explains everything so well and helps me understand my dog so much better. Her kindness, patience, and deep knowledge have solved many of my worries and confusion as a first-time dog owner. You can feel how passionate she is about dogs and about helping owners build confidence. She goes above and beyond, and I’m extremely grateful for her support. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a trainer who is skilled, caring, and genuinely committed!

We’ve just finished our fourth session with Vanessa, and we honestly couldn’t be more grateful for her help! When we first got in touch, we were feeling totally overwhelmed – trying to make sense of all the conflicting advice online, and just not sure if we were doing things right with our 4.5-month-old whippet, Peggy. From the first session, Vanessa made us feel completely at ease. She’s kind, non-judgemental, and really knows her stuff. Peggy also adores her! We’ve been working on things like lead walking, recall, helping keep focus on us, crate training, building up alone time, and settling, and we’re seeing real progress. The sessions have also made us feel so much more confident and in control, which has been a huge relief. If you’re feeling a bit lost or just want some expert, compassionate guidance, we can’t recommend her enough.

We started working with Vanessa to try to improve our intense, reactive, hyperactive and destructive Dalmatian Domingo. We’d already tried a couple of trainers without success. Vanessa helped us to really calm Domingo’s overall behaviour and he’s walking so much better on the lead, he’s much less reactive to other dogs. Vanessa’s approach is calm and to the point there are so many subtleties to Domingo’s and our behaviours that we hadn’t appreciated. Vanessa gave us the tools to be able to work with and improve Domingo’s behaviour on our own. And she is very helpful with messages outside of sessions. We are definitely going to continue to work with Vanessa to improve Domingo’s behaviour more but we are confident we are on the right path. We also used Vanessa’s boarding service while we went away for 11 nights. It felt so good to have 100% confidence in the person we left Domingo with and not have any stress on holiday. On top of this Vanessa got to do a lot of training with him while we were away so we actually got to come back to an even better behaved dog than when we went away. The extended time gave Vannessa a chance to identify an issue in his diet affecting his behaviour. We have noticed a huge improvement since making a change. We got lots of photos and videos of Domingo having fun which was great too. We would 100% recommend Vanessa for both training and boarding!
