We’re located in Seattle, Washington, and Jaime traveled out to the Pacific Northwest for an adventure couples photoshoot. My husband and I have been together for 20 years—growing up together and navigating plenty of “life happens” moments along the way. As we stepped into another new decade together, I wanted photos that captured who we are in this season of life. My husband was skeptical at first, but when I told him this would be something we’d cherish even more in the future, his hesitation faded. One hurdle was finding someone willing to meet us where we feel most like ourselves—and to face the unpredictable rain and clouds of a PNW fall. The other is that my husband and I both identify as pretty awkward. We struggle to be our authentic selves in front of a camera without feeling like mannequins with forced smiles. All of this is exactly why we chose Jaime. She has an incredible eye for a variety of environments and subjects, and she genuinely collaborates with you to understand what you’re hoping for, which immediately put us at ease. She fully embraced the weather and the adventure. Jaime also has a way of making the entire experience feel like you’re simply spending time with your partner—laughing, exploring, and whispering secrets to each other. The day itself was meaningful, and now we have these stunning, deeply personal photos to hold onto for years to come. I HIGHLY recommend Jaime, especially for anyone who feels uncomfortable or awkward in front of the camera. She creates magic. Seriously, call her.
