Wanted to come to this place the most for my trip, did not disappoint me at all! And there was absolutely NO one else!

Another one of James Turrell's masterpieces. The way he uses light as a form of art is truly breathtaking. We were quite lucky to see his other installation in Oslo, Norway. This one is a little different as he incorporates nature into it, there's something so peaceful as you enter through the doors. A must-visit while you're at the NGA.

If you're looking for the perfect spot to take your wedding portraits, Skyspace has got to be one of your top choices. The colours are stunning, reflections are perfect and there's surprisingly a lot of compositions. Plus, it's only a few minutes drive from a handful of other great photo locations including Lennox Gardens and the Old Parliament House Rose Gardens.

This is an amazingly cool place. I had seen so many photos of it but to be honest seeing it in real life was next level. Make sure you go just before sunset or sunrise to experience it in its full glory. Any other time it will just be a cool dome but at sunset, my gosh! We’re not morning people so we went around sunset. Imagine this, you’re sitting inside the dome and the colours start to change, soft pastel hues of blues, lilacs, pinks glow inside dome like LEDs had been installed —yet it was all naturally lit by the sky through the opening at the top. I’ve never seen anything like it. IYKYK! The rest of the place is cool too with the blue water and the chalky pink walls. We got some beautiful photos. The National Gallery of Australia publishes Daily sunset and sunrise times for The James Turrell Within With Sky Space. And it’s free to see this.

James Turrell's "Within Without" Skyspace at the National Gallery of Australia earns 4 stars. This captivating art installation offers a unique and serene experience, allowing visitors to observe the changing light and sky through a carefully designed aperture. The tranquil atmosphere and thoughtful design make it a must-visit for art enthusiasts and those seeking a meditative space. However, it may not appeal to everyone due to its abstract nature. Despite this, it remains a remarkable and immersive piece of contemporary art.
