I love visiting Jerry’s whether it’s some something specific or just for a creative browse. The staff are so helpful especially to a painting minor like me. They really take the time to help you find the right products at your budget. Couldn’t recommend them more

My wife is the artist in the family but based on a recent experience I find myself in the position of writing a review. She has always enjoyed shopping at Jerry's and based on the many times I've accompanied her I can understand why. Friendly and knowledgeable people that are always eager to help but are never pushy make shopping here an enjoyable experience. However, my recent personal experience shows just how over the top the people at Jerry's are willing to go. For Christmas, me along with our four children and their spouses, combined to purchase my wife a gift card for a sizable amount. I drove the one hour from our home in Northeast Houston on Friday to make the purchase. When I asked to purchase the gift card I was told that due to the internet being down gift cards could not be activated. There was no reliable estimate when the activation would be possible. I was now faced with having to make another trip on a later date. Long story short, a solution was found that allowed me to leave with a gift card to be activated whenever possible, which wound up being two days later. This may not seem like a big deal, but it kind of is these days. They could just have easily shrugged their shoulders and said, "I'm sorry. There's nothing we can do". Instead, they found a solution, and, one that created extra effort for them.

loved it here!! they had a specific canvas size (30” x 60”) that i couldn’t find anywhere else. sooo many canvases and great deals. can’t wait to go back! 🤩

I've purchased from Jerry's Artarama online in the past and was thrilled to discover that they have a brick and mortar location in Houston! I visited today and was in HEAVEN. I am a gouache artist and high quality brands can be tricky to find in standard arts and crafts stores. They had an entire aisle of OPEN STOCK gouache and watercolor! I was SO impressed with the selection. If you are a painter, you just have to go. They had every type of painting surface you could want. I didn't even need it, but walked out with some 9x12 300lb watercolor sheets. Open stock brushes galore. Palettes made of anything you could imagine, student and professional paint sets, my gosh. Every medium, every surface. They just had everything a painter could want. The place isn't pretentious at all. Nobody hovered, but people were available to offer help if needed. The person at checkout was quite friendly and signed me up for their loyalty program. Their prices are, in my experience, what the things generally cost online and at other stores if not less, but they run sales and I got most of my items at a discount! Jerry's has replaced any other retailer for painting materials for me, personally. I will be back again and again. It was worth navigating Houston traffic at lunch hour to go, and for me, that's huge. If you're a student, a beginner, a professional, or even just curious, this place is worth a look around. You won't be disappointed!

This place is located in a high traffic area, you need to be careful in this shopping center. There are a lot of crazy drivers. Now, this place has everything you need for your project. Unfortunately, you'll probably won't be able to afford it, yes, it's very expensive. Even the stuff on sale is expensive. I ran out of there, rethinking my cheap Walmart apple barrel paint. The employees were nice, and for a small retail store, they weren't bombarding me with questions and following me down the aisles. That was refreshing.
