My family and I are so grateful for JJ’s Auto Care! We had to travel 700 miles from Virginia to Jacksonville due to my son’s major medical emergency. My daughter in law expressed concern about the safety of their car. I found it to be in a very dangerous state and took it to JJ’s Auto Care. I chose them based on all of the good reviews. They were great to us. They were kind and professional. They diagnosed the car quickly and accurately. They completed the repairs very fast and made the car safe. We were under so much stress and they helped alleviate this extra stress so we could focus on our son. I highly recommend them for their customer service, efficiency and quality of work. I went back and forth for a few weeks before posting this review. I took my car to JJs because hot air was coming out of my vents when I had the AC on. I was told I needed a new condenser and it would be about $1500. I needed cool air in the summer so I paid it in full. I was able to pick my car up right before they closed and on my way home I noticed I couldn’t change the air from top to feet or to windshield. I called back they told me they would fix it if I dropped it back off the next day. I was unable to take it back because of work. I used the car to travel that weekend about 5 hours south. In that trip I noticed the AC was not working properly. 5 hours from home my car started over heating (something that had never happened) and it broke down in a parking garage. I had to get the car towed back to Jacksonville where I was told that it was unrelated to the repair that was just done. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I paid another $1000 to JJs to fix the new problem and fix the previous problem of the air and features not working. I went to pick up my car and this time the car was blowing cold air on the drivers side and hot air in the passenger side. I took the car back to JJs. Next day they called said it was fixed. It wasn’t. They called again and said we got it all fixed all the selections work and the air is cold on both sides. It worked one day then bam back to hot on one side. Now JJs told me I needed a blend motor which was $2200. So in summery I’ve given them $2500 they’ve tried to fix my AC 4 or 5 different times (not exaggerating) and now it’s something else? I don’t think they ever knew what was wrong and were just throwing parts at it and in the process messed something else up which I had to pay for. Absolutely do not bring your car here if it’s something that could be difficult they really are incompetent. I didn’t want to write them a bad review but it was the good reviews that initially made me bring my car here I think I should warn everyone else. Realistically all I want is my AC fixed because it still doesn’t work. But I’m not gonna pay another $2200 then it’s going to be something else.
Having trouble on a road trip can be a nightmare but thanks to the wonderful professional service provided by JJ's auto care my troubles were short lived and solved quickly. JJs helped me out in an emergency situation, the personnel stayed open beyond closing time to help me and did not hastate to offer assistance in spite of the late hour. The shop was professionally run and maintained, I was very impressed. Thank you for the excellent service. We need more companies like this in the industry. If I lived in Jacksonville Florida, no one else would take care of my vehicle's. JJs auto has top notch service and people you can trust- truly exceptional experience!
There is much to rave about JJs auto, but I’ll focus on the three things that stood out the most: 1) genuine customer care, 2) excellent communication, and 3) fair prices. Owner Charles was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend JJs to anyone who wants a positive and easy experience!
I waited 11 days for appointment to get my CRV checked. It has all the warning lights on and due for oil change. Dropped off my car at 8am,. Received a text after an hour with recommended maintenance. I accepted to get the cabin air filter changed on top of the oil change and diagnostics. At 230pm, I texted asking for status to which the reply was “ I’m sorry. no not yet…”. . So I said that I need to get my car back. And the reply was “I’ll just have to take the diagnostic time off.. we can just reschedule..” Then I asked if at least the oil change and cabin filter were changed .. the response was YES. I got to JJ’s paid for CAF and oil change only.. they said they were understaffed etc. They didn’t even drive my car to the front of the shop for pick up. I walked to the back of the building to get it, after the lady at front desk just handed my car key after payment. I started it and drove to the front parking of JJ’s to check if really did what I paid for. So in about 7 hours that my car in the shop, they didn’t do the diagnostics - that I was willing to pay, dash say oil 100% life- so hopefully it’s done properly ..BUT THE WORST ONE WAS.. I FOUND THE CABIN AIR FILTER WAS NOT REPLACED AT ALL.. I removed it and walked back and ask the staff if they did replace the CAF.. and still said YES.. then I showed and asked why I still have the old dirty filter in then? I can almost hear their whispers… I came here for a second opinion willing to pay after local Honda dealer gave me a ridiculous diagnostics.. but this is the service I got. HORRIBLE.
