I called to make a grooming appointment and when I got there at set date they would not take my senior dog. They proceeded to say that I needed to setup his online profile and take his current vaccines. Which is fine if they had informed me before driving all the way there and them not accepting my senior baby.

I have boarded my Kitty and Natasha at joyful paws for years. The pets are cared for and are happy to go and then come home. It’s a great place for pet socialization, providing play time outside of there kennel. I like that they require medical shots to be up to date, bring personal food prepped and that leftovers are returned. It’s nice that there are consistent employees, knowing first names.

Joyful Paws is GREAT! The staff is super friendly! From the moment you walk in, you see the love for animals from each person. When we drive-up, Nemo our sweet Beagle get so excited! He loves it there & I feel good leaving him there!! 💖 7/30/2025 Adding to my last post... Joyful made me so happy yesterday! Nemo got to go to a pool party with hotdog treats & he was even given a new bandana. Joyful sent pics & a video of all the fun Nemo had with the staff & other furry friends. So wonderful!!! Joyful Rocks!!! Thank you Joyful Paws!!!!! 😘💖💖

At first I was nervous about this place because my dog was nervous when I first started dropping her off. However, a year later, she gets so excited to see the staff & go to doggy daycare! She just needed time to adjust, and now I feel completely comfortable leaving my fur baby in their care. They have become part of Daisy's extended family, even recognizing her & saying hi when we run into them out & about Long Beach. When Daisy had an injury (she ran into a stick when I took her to a park), the staff was extra careful & helped re-wrap the bandage during her stay. They are also mindful of her dietary restrictions. My only comment is I wish they had a doorbell, because sometimes there's a bit of a wait by the door, but other than that, I have zero complaints. Joyful Paws is my go-to for my pup daycare needs. Don't hesitate to try them out!

Staff was super friendly and helpful. It was a first for my pup and they made us feel comfortable and secure. Will be using them on a regular basis. Ive been going here for over a year and continue to be impressed with the staff who look after our Ollie! oliver loves the staff and all his friends at Joyful Paws.
