First timer. Was greeted by a cute little doggie, and receptionist who got me a cup of coffee. My stylist Leslie was kind. I specifically told her the two main areas I wanted covered due to the gray being stronger there. I understand that semi-permanent color will not cover it all, but rather make it look more natural. Welp, let's just say that I've had to use my root touchup spray every time I go out, since getting my hair done by Leslie - terrible job was done. Cut not good either, front right of my hair is longer than the left - even my husband noticed. When I got in my car, I noticed that the bottom half of my hair at my scalp was still quite damp. She asked if I'd like to add a conditioning treatment for an additional cost. I said I wasn't sure, and she said she'd ask me again later, so I had time to think about it - she never asked me again. I believe the entire appointment was maybe 1 hour and 15 minutes long - that would explain why my hair at the scalp where she applied the semi-permanent color is a brass color. I've been getting semi-permanent color plus either high or low lights applied for years elsewhere and I've never been in and out in 1 hour 15 minutes nor experienced such a terrible color and cut. A week later, I noticed a small sore left of my temple past my hair line - I knew she did a crappy job of rinsing all the soap out. Big waste of $200. And yes, I did write a review 5 days after my appointment, the form that the salon sent direct for feedback, and described my experience. Never heard anything back. I 100% do not recommend this salon. Very disappointing and cannot believe I was not contacted by an owner. Julia Grace's response to my review is laughable. The stylist WAS NOT attentive. You clearly did not read my review. I'll add pictures. Leslie should not be doing color of any sort until she has additional training. Funny how your very wordy response did not mention how I left with damp hair, and the soap was not washed out of my hair thoroughly. Wonder where my reply to YOUR feedback request three days after my app't went - must of just disappeared, huh.

Alexis is awesome! I came in and asked for a split dye (red/blond) and she gave me EXACTLY what I wanted. I get it touched up with her and she always does such a good job. The service here has always been very professional and I recommend them to take care of you.

I really appreciated the easy scheduling, friendly staff, and great cut/color! The little touches like drinks and a head massage are just icing on the cake. My stylist was very engaged and asked questions until it was clear we were both on the same page. I got a price quote before we started anything and that was super helpful! I felt that what inpaid was very comparable with other salons and stylists in Madison. Products were discussed but I never felt pressured to buy anything (which can be an issue at some salons). Highly reccomend!

Booking online at Julia Grace Salon is super easy, but the real star is Alexis. She is hands down the best hairdresser I’ve ever had! Only Alexis touches my hair because she always nails the cut and style perfectly. She has an incredible talent for knowing exactly what works and makes me feel amazing every single time. If you want the best, go to Alexis!

Gabbie did an amazing job of getting the color that I was envisioning! She listened to everything I described and did a great job of letting me know exactly what she was doing. I will definitely be recommending the salon to everyone!
