The upselling doesnt stop during your massage. First the oil, then the gua sha, then cupping. I wish someone WARNED me that gua sha leaves marks. They recommended and it was my first time trying it….now I have a wedding to go to and im wearing a backless dress. I look like I wrestled with a bear…. Also its $40 dollar add on for about 5 minutes max….( shoulders and back only not full body). For reference, the picture is 24hrs later. The talking doesnt stop either, endless whispering and giggling throughout the couples massage and facials. Probably about how we fell for the upsells because they used the words gua sha a lot while talking. Nobody explained anything during the facial, what was used and why. It was my first time trying hydra and I couldn’t tell you what it is or how it works after. All the talking continued to be internal, the only talking to us was upselling on the facial also. Leaving the spa, a very upset man checked us out. He didn’t mention there was zelle option to avoid card fees ( luckily i moved the menu and saw the paper under it showing the code) and after i tried asking him if the tip was good ( i did 20% cash)and he looked absolutely disgusted with me counting the bills and said it was “fine”. In a tone that didn’t sound fine. Overall very strange experience, not really how i thought my first facial would go. Personally when paying hundreds of dollars I prefer something a lot more relaxing.
