A little gem in the heart of SF! I absolutely loved everything about my experience. As a seasonal traveler, I always book a sauna visit in cities I go to. Growing up in Europe (where spas are fully nude as it is so gross to bathe and sweat in synthetic bathing suits), I am glad we can still find places like this in the US. I love Swedish saunas, French hydrotherapy spas, Germany mixed genders spas, Italians bathing houses, Turkish Hammams, Korean Crystal saunas... I visited Japan and this place is even better than an onsen for me because of the low light and the various saunas/pools there. The cold plunge is amazing, right in the center of the room, and there are wet and dry saunas, a jacuzzi, relaxing lounge chairs and towels and lockers available for everyone. I soaked for 2h in the quiet atmosphere (thank you for the absolutely no phone and silence!!) before getting a facial by Devin. I HIGHLY recommend the experience. Devin, a super professional and fun esthetician with 20 years of experience, was able to quickly deliver a diagnosis on my skin and assess its needs. He used Naturopathica products (including the Plant Stem Cell Booster Serum) and I ended up purchasing some once I was back. This was truly an amazing experience! I can't wait to go back! It is certainly worth the splurge. Make sure to reserve and treat yourself to a full experience at Kabuki Springs and Spa, it's magical. Thank you so much! Doe
Very nice spa - exactly what is needed for a busy professional to unwind and relax. Also American houses don’t have normal bath tubs. So if you really want to get immersed into a body of water your options are limited. $49 for 2.5 hours - it’s hard to make it longer Sauna and steam room. Cold plunge and warm water pools. They only give robes if you have a massage. So for communal bath access bring your own.
OMG amazing my second time in the Kabuki Springs and Spa. Had a few challenges and this was the perfect time spent a few hours made a huge difference, silence, self care and the staff totally amazing and kind. Thank you so much for all you folks do or our communities and visitors.
Wow wow wow!!!! This Japanese bath house is AMAZING! I had never been to a Japanese bath house before and was so very excited to come!!! The facilities are absolutely beautiful, the employees were all lovely as well. I had a facial with the lovely Christine and she was amazing! Felt like I had known her my whole life and she did just a wonderful job with my facial. 💗The bathhouse was just amazing, very dim lighting, candles, it was very quiet, relaxing, and very very zen. I came on a Sunday which was women only which was so relaxing and comfortable. I cannot wait to return!!!!!
I spent 2.5 hours at Kabuki Spa in San Francisco and it was glorious. My rhythm went like this: 10–15 minutes in the sauna, 5–10 minutes in the hot pool, 1 minute in the cold plunge, then drift into the steam room. Back to the hot pool. Back to the plunge. Repeat until my brain turned into a soft, happy marshmallow. Halfway through, I stretched out on a lounger, dozed off for about 20 minutes, and woke up feeling like I’d shed an entire week of stress. Portland’s got a spot with almost the same layout—but Kabuki won me over. It’s quieter, easier on the wallet, and somehow more serene.
