I've worked with Kalen twice now. She is incredibly professional, kind, responsive, and thoughtful. Her images are absolutely gorgeous, and she goes above and beyond to deliver the final product quickly. Although I haven't met her in person, I can tell just from the photographs she takes that she is empathetic and caring. It's visible in the portraits she makes. Working with Kalen for our daughter’s wedding was awesome. We met several times - first to hone in on the right package and expectations. As we moved forward working out the details of the day was very easy. The brides got what was important to them, we had some requests as well. She coordinated with the wedding planner and day of every thing was super smooth. I never had to worry or track anyone down and just enjoyed the time with friends and family. Kalen is an amazingly talented photographer, and part of what makes her so great is her ability to connect and empathize with the people (and pets!) she is shooting. We had our engagement photos in DC during a time that was personally difficult for me, and she didn't ignore the difficulty or try to sugarcoat everything as happy-wedding-time - and I was able to relax and feel like myself in the photos as a result. At the wedding in Denver, everyone commented that she was part of making the whole event fun, and I agree! On top of that, she is FAST - her turnaround time on our sneak peek photos was way ahead of the deadline she set for herself, and we got even more photos than we expected for a sneak peek. Kalen is the absolute best and I will be recommending her to everyone I know who is looking for a photographer!
