My daughter loved working with Sadie. She worked on her SAT and essay prep. Her jump 80 points from Sept SAT to Oct she was so happy and proud about. it was a great end to their time working together. highly recommend.

Positive: Communication, Professional, Affordable, Quality +++update+++ As we move into year 3, my son & daughter are now high school freshman! And while they are started well, I can see some school activities and friends have become more important in their lives. Luckily, Kate helps them to stay on track with their homework and schedules (to include time with friends). Both have done very well in the past two years, with added focuses on Math and English. This year, they will also add some early college prep work to the plan. Thankfully, Kate has the patience to lay out a plan for the next four years. Here's to smooth sailing! Thanks Kate! ****Make Kate the one you call!***** My kids were a mess after on-line learning and struggled to keep up when they returned to class. Kate reorganized each child's schedule, making sure there was adequate study time for each subject. Then patiently assisted with assignments and even clarified with teacher. Thanks Kate! +++update, one year later+++ Wanted to share an update to my prior review. After an uneven start to this school year for our daughter, Kate clued us in to a potential issue with the teacher. After a discussion with our daughter (she did not readily share), Kate encouraged us to advocate on behalf of our daughter, with the administration. After a class change, she is excelling. Thank you, Kate, for bringing the issue to our attention.

Do yourself a favor call Kate! When we first started with Kate I was honestly stressed out and not sure what to do. She came in, arranged everything, and somehow made it all feel do-able instead of impossible. She’s patient, smart, and has this way of explaining stuff that actually makes sense (even when you’ve been staring at it for hours and it doesn’t). +++ update, 18 months later +++ Still working with Kate and it’s been such a steadying thing. There were definitely ups and downs but she always notices the problem before it turns into a full meltdown, and gives advice that’s actually practical. I don’t know how she does it, but she’s kind of like a mix of coach, tutor, and big sister all rolled into one. Honestly can’t imagine getting through this stretch without her.

We are very happy with Kate. Kate truly cares about her students and always goes above and beyond. Her programs are tailored for each student, not a cookie cutter style, and each kid gets the special attention they need. Most importantly, she produces results. We highly recommend Kate.

I came to Kate in an absolute panic for my 7th grader. She was failing every single class and had absolutely checked out. We'd already gone the therapy route and a friend suggested Kate take a look at my daughter's academics. Kate is an incredible mix of kind and understanding but still firm with her students. She has high expectations and takes no "stuff" from the kids but she's also really understanding of my daughter's emotional difficulties. I feel like she's an important member of our team now.
