My dog is quite nervous of kennels and is a reactive dog, so finding somewhere that really understood him was so important to me. Keepers Cottage have been amazing from day one. Everyone is amazing and are so kind, patient, and genuinely care about the dogs they look after. They took the time to get to know my dog and his needs, and I could tell straight away he was in safe hands. He’s so much more settled here, and I finally feel able to relax when he stays. I’m beyond grateful to have found them and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them—especially if you have a nervous or reactive dog.
We can’t thank keepers cottage enough for taking care of our pup for his first trail stay. He’s a rescue and can be very nervous around new people and places, sometimes showing fear-based aggression, and we were so worried leaving him. From the very start, the team treated him with so much patience and understanding. They made him feel safe, happy, and cared for, and it was clear he felt the love too. They sent updates with pictures and videos, which completely put our minds at ease and made us feel connected to him while we were apart. Picking him up and seeing how relaxed and joyful he was made us so so grateful. He had so much fun and really came out of his shell. We feel so lucky to have found such an amazing, caring team - they truly go above and beyond for dogs and dogs like Arlo! I highly recommend! He’s excited to be back next week for his longer stay! 🥰🐕
We were so nervous leaving our dog for the first time and so glad we found keepers cottage, I shouldn’t of worried as Diego was in the best care, the girls gave him loads of encouragement and love and I genuinely feel like he loves Cass more than me! They really make an effort to make you feel better and comfortable with updates, videos and pictures which were amazing, they make an effort to bond with the dogs and I couldn’t have asked for more. I will be recommending you to everyone who will listen and Diego will definetly be back, we hadn’t been away anywhere as a family since getting him 18 months ago and now that we know how looked after he is here it’s genuinely life changing that we can now do that. 10/10 thank you so much!
Peace of Mind! Bruce is still young (under 2) but he’s a lot of dog! Knowing the team at Keepers Cottage are competent and willing to look after him really gives us peace of mind. Bruce needs patience and understanding by the bucket full and I believe he gets it at Keepers. The kennels have a heat lamp (he’s nesh), he gets a walk on the field, plenty of play and we get updates on social media! I genuinely have peace of mind whilst he is there and over time believe he will get more and more use to going. We’ve just done weekends for now, but would like a longer break in the future which I believe we will get.
Update****** October/ November 2025******. Zeppo went for her longest stay and was happy and waggy and loved cuddles from me and the staff before we left. She was really happy which shows how happy she was with her care. They are so lovely and Zeppo has come out of herself whilst there. I can have a holiday knowing she is cared for and they know how to handle her to make her happy and safe. Thanks for taking care of our beautiful girl ********My Zeppo is a Rommie and has been in the UK over about a year and with me since just before Christmas. She is nervous so I’m very careful not to put her in situations she can’t handle and was worried about boarding her. My Dad died and I needed to stay over for the funeral as he doesn’t live nearby. The team were amazing and got her booked in and answered my questions. They worked at her pace and on day 2 she let them put a lead on and she was going for cuddles. Got no problem at all booking her in for longer stays. She’s happy and healthy and not at all bothered negatively by her stay. Would definitely recommend them. Lovely staff who seem to care about making the dogs stays enjoyable
