The Photography 101 workshop was very beneficial to me personally. Kevin did an outstanding job in providing well developed training aids and presented the lesson material in a very coherent and professional manner; and his knowledge of the subject is amazing. He kept the class interesting with good student/instructor interaction and practical demonstrations. I highly recommend the course for anyone wishing to explore the world of photography. I used to love to take pictures with a manual Minolta, and later with a digital Canon, but I never learned how to operate my Canon in the manual modes, and over time I stopped using cameras and began to rely more on my iPhone. I've missed the fun of designing a beautiful shot, but it's been such a long time that my husband gave me some private photography lessons with Kevin Gourley for my birthday. I had a great experience! Kevin is an excellent teacher, very thorough, experienced and easy to understand. He's also very patient with someone who hasn't used a camera in several years. At my request, Kevin's even given me some advice about newer models. I got a good refresher from my prviate classes and plan to take his Photography 101 six week class in the coming weeks.

Just finished my 2nd course with Kevin, & hoping to book a 3rd course soon. I got a new camera a few years ago for a trip to europe, and wanted to learn how to use it outside of Auto settings. Thats when I found Kevin Gourley Photography. Kevin is easy to talk to, easy to learn from, and never made things seem difficult. I highly recommend his Photography 101 & 201 classes! Doesn't matter what brand of camera you're using, only that you bring it to class.

Kevin’s 101 class is great for someone who wants to know more about camera settings and the basics of taking good photos. He’s a great teacher and is able to explain the concepts and terms in easy-to-understand ways. I was intimidated to take a class, thinking I needed to know more before starting, but Kevin’s 101 class was a great intro! Take it.

Kevin was an amazing teacher that balanced the academic foundations of the camera with really practical and actionable insights that I was able to put to use immediately. In just a couple hours of instruction I was able to feel in control of manual settings and have been able to take really high quality photos. I highly recommend for any level of photographer but especially his private classes. Very glad I found his instruction!
