Sarah is an amazing teacher whose enthusiasm inspires me. The friendly group classes have taught me so much in six months. I wouldn’t choose anywhere else.

Diana and Sarah are a pleasure to be taught guitar by. I have taken lessons myself and my daughter has been taught by them both over the past 6 years. They run classes which are engaging and tailored to each person and their skill level, enabling you to learn at your own pace while still in a group environment. They also run lots of extra curricular activities which has helped my daughter grow hugely in confidence with her guitar playing. They always make it fun and are always a pleasure to deal with. I'd highly recommend Key to Music to anyone irrespective of age!

I spent almost 2 years in group guitar lessons with Diana and I couldn't have asked for more! Every lesson was fun and interesting, but most of all Diana challenged us each week to better ourselves, practice our skills and go outside of our comfort zone. She encouraged us to create our own musical arrangements and try them out in class, to try more complex parts of the music, and hosted events for us to play publicly to build our confidence, such as Christmas shows and shows in the fringe. Diana also hosted multiple extra opportunities to practice such as jam nights or extra rehearsals around public performances (for which she does not charge), and you get to know so many more people in her classes this way too and arrange possible collaborations! The style in which Diana taught was also very beneficial for me, she explained things very thoroughly and not only taught us guitar, but also about music and how arrangements come together, how songs are made and written and much more. Diana has been a great teacher and friend, and her infectious passion for music has really inspired me, she is always supporting and motivating her students! Highly recommend if you are looking for a great teacher and a great experience!

I take a once weekly guitar lesson with Diana, who is a really fantastic teacher. I feel comfortable learning with her and always look forward to my session every week. She incorporates all aspects of guitar playing in her sessions - chords, lead and rhythm in a friendly group environment - with some ensemble playing as well.I would never have got as far with my playing if it wasn’t for Diana and these lessons. She’s also very encouraging to her students and gives opportunities to play live at events as well. I’d definitely recommend Key to Music to anyone who wishes to learn guitar for either getting into singer/songwriting or just playing as a hobby!

I had the most amazing experience with Diana and Key To Music! I took Vocal, Guitar and one-on-one classes with Diana while living in Edinburgh for 5 months in 2016 and couldn't believe how much I progressed in such a short time! She gave me so much confidence, helped me prepare for a very challenging performance singing live at a close friend's memorial, and even taught me how to use a loop pedal! I'm so lucky to have found someone like Diana to personally oversee my progress. She put so much time and care into her lessons and I still to this day have yet to find another music teacher that compares. Wish I could go back to Edinburgh just for these classes!
