Khoa was wonderful to work with! We chose him for our maternity photos because we loved how natural and unposed his work looked. I usually feel a bit uneasy in front of the camera, but he made me feel relaxed and confident. The session was so much fun and honestly felt like we had known Khoa for years. I'm really sad we've relocated from California, otherwise I'd keep booking Khoa for all our photo sessions. Khoa took both our engagement and wedding photos, and wow did he exceed our expectations. He was very accommodating to our requests and willing to travel (Sequoia National Park and Sedona, AZ) to help create our vision. He was great to work with - an excellent communicator, professional during the shoot, and had the photos ready for us well before we were expecting! By all accounts, we were extremely satisfied with Khoa’s services and would certainly hire him again to capture our future memories.
I simply couldn't recommend Khoa more! My fiancé planned a surprise engagement with Khoa while we were traveling throughout California. My favorite part of it all (aside from the engagement) was how much Khoa was able to support and assist in the planning process with my fiancé. Khoa was unobtrusive and even during/after the engagement he gave us space to just "be" and soak it all in. When it was ready for the portrait part of the engagement (post saying "yes"), Khoa was helpful in giving direction but still letting us be natural and ride the highs of love. The photos he captured were unbelievable. You can feel the love, excitement, and all of the emotion through the screen. I feel so lucky that my engagement was captured in real time, nonetheless by Khoa himself. 10000/10 would recommend!
We found Khoa after searching through dozens of photographers in SD County. We planned to have an elopement at the County Clerk's office and wanted someone to be able to capture the intimate moments of the day very artfully since we wouldn't have a big wedding or any guests. Khoa had excellent communication, was very professional, and made our day even more special by agreeing to be our witness. In a way, he brought me a lot of comfort since we didn't have any friends or family there. My now husband and I rarely take photos even for socials or anything personal and are super awkward in front of the camera, but Khoa provided just enough guidance and direction that it felt very natural posing for the camera without it feeling like an entire production or feeling too stiff. I really appreciated that he asked us what we prefer the focus environment should be-- whether its architecture or nature, to ensure that he captures the vibe we were looking for. He delivered the final products very quickly and his post edits were beautiful-- the colors, light, and balance of us and the backdrops were absolutely stunning. I highly recommend his service to anyone looking for a wedding photographer!
We hired Khoa for our wedding pictures and could not be more pleased! We reached out for a custom quote given the amount of hours requested. He quickly responded and set up a Zoom meeting to understand more about our expectations of the day and a general timeline. We were worried about rain, which luckily didn't happen, and Khoa was able to offer his expertise advice in the event it did. The day of the wedding, he was very friendly, had a true creative eye for detail, and was very professional. He delivered far more photos than we expected and within 2 short weeks. We were so excited to share with everyone and everyone was very impressed with the photos. We cannot recommend him enough!
