I've been coming here for years; its my safe space in Manchester The level of service and quality of items justifies the price tag. I asked Lynne to design me a corset years ago, and it's still going strong with steel boning, silk, and detailed embroidery. She has made me a vast quantity of dresses and other unique articles of clothing, from vintage material to new. Whatever you buy will be unique and last for many years to come. Essentially you get what you pay for.
Amazing boutique! I had my wedding dress made by Kiku Boutique and I am so glad I did. Lyn and Saida designed and made my beautiful wedding dress. It was unique and elegant and beautifully made. The task was made more complicated as I live overseas (although the wedding was in the UK in Brighton) so I was only able to make 2 fittings. 1 a year before and then another one 3 weeks before the wedding. Lyn was really helpful in sending examples and sketches and chatting though what I wanted. What they ended up suggesting for a design was different to my first idea but much better – so glad I relied on their creative genius.
On a few occasions I’ve worked with Lynn as a model for her clothing. I can’t rave enough about the communication, high quality of designs, the creativity and amazing bubbly attitude with Kiku Boutique. I truly adore all of the pieces I’ve ever had the pleasure of wearing. The corsets are so immaculate and gorgeous. The shop itself is a world of surreal beauty, 100% worth a visit! I can’t wait to return.
Lynn and Sean at Kiku are wonderful, they helped my wife and I through all the various options for a corset that my wife liked, and in the end we bought one ‘off the peg’ as it were, as the fit was perfect. We have gone back since to have a bespoke corset made to measure, and have bought quite a few items of lingerie as well. The quality of everything we have bought is superb, and the fact that all the items sold are hand made in small runs by local businesses makes it more than worthwhile. Both Lynn and Sean are very knowledgeable and approachable, and because of their experience and advice we will go back again and again in future!
I've had several custom made corsets and costumes from Kiku over the years. The quality is wonderful and the customer service impeccable. I would (and regularly do) recommend Kiku to anyone! Whether you want custom made or off the rack - everything is beautiful. And they stock the best lingerie brands too. It's genuinely such a pleasure shopping here!
