During a recent visit to Houston to see family, they took me to a truly remarkable bookstore. It's Black-owned and filled with an incredible selection of books by Black authors — simply amazing. Even before I learned more about the store’s mission, I was immediately struck by the welcoming, peaceful atmosphere. The space was clear, warm, and inviting. The staff were kind, engaged, and hard at work organizing inventory, while mellow music set the perfect tone. The scent in the air was comforting, and fellow customers wandered, browsed, and read quietly — it was genuinely a vibe. I could’ve easily stayed for hours. We took our time exploring, had great conversations, and marveled at the variety of thoughtful, beautiful items available. Thank you for blessing the community with such an inspiring and well-curated space. What a gem!

I came back to this bookstore after two years and it’s so beautiful to see the growth this bookstore has gone through. Such love and care from the owners and workers in what they’re doing for the community from events to books to the free library, you will definitely appreciate this gem in Houston please come check out their store and support when you can. I love the various selections on Black authors and that they have other Black owned products like puzzles, gift wrap, gift cards, candles, Croc accessories and so much more. There’s something for everyone here 😉💗 🐑♥️Jesus loves you and He is proud of who you choose to be sugar 💜✝️
