My wife and I absolutely love Kindred. We have been members at various vineyards in the area over the past decade and only recently were introduced to Kindred. We were fortunate enough to spend some time chatting with Craig on our first visit and had another opportunity to chat with him briefly on our most recent visit. Jack and Macy also took some time to speak with us even though both times have been very busy. The stories behind the wines are compelling and everybody who works here have treated us incredibly well. You can tell they care about what they make and want you to truly enjoy it. The wines are wonderful. While many Snake River wines are bold and fruit forward, these seem to tend a little more on the delicate side which is really nice. As a lover of big, jammy, fruit forward wines, these stand up beautifully and Kindred is quickly becoming my favorite wine in the area. I’ve been able to sample several of the pizzas Kindred offers and they’re all great. I’d strongly recommend the sausage and fennel. It’s rich, but not overwhelmingly so, and the wines pair perfectly with each I’ve sampled. If you’re not sure where to go, this would be my top recommendation. The grounds are pretty, the tasting room is on the small side (reservations are a must) but it feels cozy, comfortable, and friendly instead of cramped. The food and wine are terrific. In summary, lovely wine, delicious food, and wonderful people—this is a must visit.
