Great instructors that teach more than just the martial arts… they teach accountability, confidence and character (just to name a few!). They are also good about providing one-on-one instructing whenever it’s needed!

We love King Tiger! My 5 year old son has been going here for almost two years now. He had a lot of anxiety trying out new things. However, Sensei "E"mmendorfer was so empathetic and understanding of his anxiety that he was able to get my son to get over it almost immedelty and join the class. Since then my son's confidence has improved dramatically. He is also more respectful, listens better, and is overall just more confident on who he is thanks to what he has learned from King Tiger. He has no problems trying out new things like baseball and football. The curriculum for his age group is not too hard but not too easy. It helped him become more focused, respectful, and stronger. From watching the other age groups I can see how the curriculum is gradually more difficult and reasonable for those age groups. The atmosphere King Tiger is always positive and fun! Everyone is having a great time learning new skills and there is so much encouragement from everyone. It truly is like a big family. The instructors and staff are very professional, knowledgeable, and care about the students very much. They have no problem addressing any questions or concerns. When my son misses a class they're the first to call to make sure everything is ok. They want all their students to succeed and you can see it in how they interact with their students. If you're looking for a Quality and friendly Martial Arts school for you or your children then you've come to the right place.

If you’re looking for a Martial Arts school, King Tiger in Chesapeake is hands down amazing! Staff is outstanding, atmosphere is open and welcoming, and the classes are phenomenal. I’ve been going there for almost 8 years now and was in love from the very first day! Master Cielo is passionate about what she teaches and makes sure you reach your full potential. Sensei is extremely knowledgeable and professional with a wonderful personality making sure you have the techniques needed to excel. The instructors are just as amazing and enthusiastic. KTMA in Chesapeake is an all around win!!

We could not be more pleased with King Tiger. Our daughter has been attending for just over a year now. The changes we have seen in her have been amazing.Her confidence, focus and abilities have improved immensely. She is much more disciplined at home and school and we owe a good deal of this change to her time here. The instructors are very kind and professional. The front desk staff is always helpful. We highly recommend King Tiger Martial Arts in Chesapeake to anyone looking for their child to build confidence and incredible skills to last a lifetime.

My five year old daughter Kiley has been a member of the King Tiger Martial Arts (Ches.) family for almost one year now. The instructors are amazing and always make the children feel confident and comfortable. As a parent, I enjoy watching Kiley grow and become part of a team!!! Thank You to ALL the staff for making my family feel part of yours!! My daughter says: She loves Instructor E. She also loves all the kids she's with and the classes she gets for being involved in the leadership program (tumbling, sparing, forms, etc.) Plus, she likes learning all the self defenses (which are very practical too).
