The food is really good here and the service is great. This is one of my favorite restaurants. If you like good seafood, you will like it here.
We went here with a party of 8 for my sons 15th birthday. I called ahead of time and spoke to the manager Carlos, and he said he'd take care of us. We had a nice reserved space out on the patio and had 5 star service. I was able to hang a banner behind the table and bring my own cake which he kept in the back until it was time to sing! The food was great, and Carlos even brought out a live lobster afterwards. I highly recommend Kings Fish House for any event, especially if you ask for Carlos. He really made it fantastic!
This is a rustic fish place, serving a wide range of high quality seafood. The place gave me the impression that they have lots of experience in the fish business, For example, there is a guest sink in the dining room to clean the hands after a messy bare hand seafood dig-in. The waiter was in a good mood, joked around and made me feel comfortable and welcome. He reached promptly to my last minute adjustment. The quality of the food was excellent, the portion size was appropriate for the price and class of restaurant, though it could have been a bit more protein for my liking. I really enjoyed how the sides were prepared with some extravagance. Overall I enjoyed the experience and I recommend dropping by if you are in the area and feel like high quality seafood.
We finally tried King’s with the family. The food was decent—good to average overall. There weren’t many options for starters, and they didn’t offer any sharing platters, which was a bit disappointing. I found the portion sizes on the smaller side, at least for me. Service was very slow; everything from ordering to getting the check took much longer than expected. It was nice to give it a try, but I’m not sure I’d go back. If I were to recommend a dish, the blackened catfish stood out slightly—it was just a bit better than fine. That said, don’t let my review stop you from giving them a try—everyone’s experience can be different.
From the moment we walked in, we were impressed! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with the option to dine inside or enjoy the outdoor patio with cozy heaters. We sat indoors, right next to the live lobster tank—one of the highlights! (Check out the video and pic of the giant lobster!) We started with a beautifully presented Oyster Sampler featuring six varieties—three from the Pacific (Sol Azul, Rincon De Ballenas, Kumamoto) and three from the East Coast (Rappahannock, Great White, Beach Plum). Super fresh and perfectly chilled. For cocktails, we tried the Royal Flush and the Cadillac Margarita—both refreshing and well-balanced. I loved the cucumber-lime twist in the Royal Flush! The complimentary bread and butter were a nice touch, but the entrées truly stole the show. We ordered: Parmesan Crusted Sand Dabs – delicate wild Alaskan fish with capers, served with seasoned spinach and organic rainbow carrots. Miso Yaki Sea Bass – rich, flaky Chilean bass with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. The veggies on the side were a great match. What really made the night was our amazing server Ash. She was incredibly knowledgeable, explaining how each fish was prepared and cooked to perfection. And to top it off, the Chef came out to greet us—a special touch that made the evening unforgettable! We shared pictures of the drinks, oysters, entrées, lobster tank, dining room, and patio to capture the full experience. Highly recommend this spot if you’re craving high-quality seafood and top-tier service!
