I’m a remote worker and enjoy a nomad lifestyle. I travel a lot and finding a barber always pushes my anxiety into over drive. I found Chris @ Kings Own and booked online. I arrived at Chris’s place and felt welcomed at the first intro! The shop is located near enough to downtown, Centertown and other nearby areas. It’s cozy with some great art. The service I booked was a skin fade blended into haircut with a shape up and beard trim. Razor shave with hot towel and hot shaving foam. Honestly BEST skin fade I’ve since been in Istanbul. The products Chris used were high end quality. The service was BRILLIANT and professional at all times! Chris recommended a certain style which I decline and once trying to style my hair at home I understood why he recommended a shorter length, I rebooked for a touch up which Chris happily accommodated. GREAT SERVICE 10/10 I highly recommend this place for all types of barber services you might need! Will definitely rebook again!

Absolutely great beard trim at King’s Own Barbershop. The barber took their time, paid attention to detail, and really knew how to shape and clean up my boyfriend’s beard without overdoing it. Super professional, relaxed atmosphere, and you can tell they take pride in their work. Walked out looking sharp and feeling confident. Easily one of the best barbershops in Ottawa, highly recommend and will definitely be back.

I did a search online for a barber adept in performing miracles with thinning hair and Chris’ shop was the first suggestion presented. When I arrived for my appointment, I was immediately impressed by his friendly, welcoming personality and how he engages with his clients. I decided to leave the “look” up to him and he did not disappoint. I am rarely happy with my cuts (given the reality of thinning hair), but for the first time in a long time I actually smiled at my reflection in the mirror. :) Highly recommend Chris and Kings Own Barbershop for anyone looking for a business that treats clients like “back in the day”. ;)

Chris did an excellent job on my hair and beard. I had very specific instructionsfor my hair and beard and he executed to perfection. He walked me through his process every step of the way and it made me feel very relaxed. His taste in music is great and provided a nice vibe.

Found Kings Own through Reddit and Google. Place had very good reviews so I booked an apt. Very happy with the results, Chris did a great job with curly hair and is very good with interacting with you and making sure you are comfortable with what he is doing. This was the 2nd time coming here and it was a great experience again.
