Poor experience with K & R Strategic — overpriced, inaccessible, and zero transparency I’ve worked with K & R Strategic for about a year and a half, and while they do competent tax work, the overall experience has been extremely disappointing — especially considering how much they charge. I spent over $6,000 with them and still felt like I had no real access to my tax team. Anytime I had a basic question, I was reminded that their time is billed at $300/hour, which made it clear they didn’t want clients reaching out. Their pricing for add-on services (LLC setup, filings, etc.) is extremely inflated. On top of that, they would send invoices with no explanation of what the charges were for. I asked three different times for a summary or breakdown and never received one. Communication was consistently poor. They rely on a generic yearly questionnaire, and that’s basically the only contact you get. I uploaded all required documents, yet I was repeatedly asked to send the same documents again — only for their assistant to realize they had them the whole time. It felt like I was walking them through their own job, despite paying premium pricing. In a year and a half, I had one phone call that actually provided clarity on my taxes. Everything else felt transactional and rushed. As a business owner, I ask normal, reasonable questions about my tax situation — but with K & R, every small interaction felt like another bill was coming. The final straw was receiving a mail-only letter (that got lost) informing me they were no longer my statutory agent and I had 30 days to replace them. They have my email, yet didn’t bother to send it electronically or communicate personally. No courtesy, no heads-up — just a cold form letter. Overall, K & R Strategic made it clear that they prioritize money over their clients. Good technical work, but delivered with poor communication, high prices, zero transparency, and almost no sense of relationship or support. I wouldn’t recommend them for small business owners who expect clarity, access, or partnership.

Keith is VERY talented and I always know I’m in EXCELLENT hands when we do our tax meeting. Highly recommend K&R Taxes. The crew is top notch. THE BEST tax decision I could have made was doing my taxes with K&R Strategic Partners.
