We are so happy that Mika, at La Boheme, was recommended to us. My daughter and I have been looking for a new stylist for a couple of years. When I see people with good haircuts, I ask them who cuts their hair. Usually, I am told they got their hair cut in Richmond or out of state. Finally, an amazing local stylist and colorist! La boheme has a comfy Bohemian vibe. The name is perfect for this salon. The receptionist is warm and friendly. It is upstairs(no elevator)and filled with light. Mika’s hair station is in a small room, so, if you have hearing issues-like I do, this room cancels out the noise in the large, high ceiling space of the main salon. I love open spaces with high ceilings, my ears just don’t. I had no trouble hearing or communicating with Mika in her room. Park on 21st street or on the side road. Not in the shopping center nor in the dry cleaners parking lot. We had no trouble finding parking. There were several on 21st but we parked on the side street since we knew we would be there longer than 2 hours.

Emilie Kennedy has been cutting my hair for years and she's fantastic! She does a great job, is so sweet, and the salon is really nice and in a convenient location!

Amber is a hair magician! Excellent salon overall. Clean, nice decor, and complimentary coffee/tea available. Aveda products are all vegan so this is a great option if you're looking for a vegan-friendly salon.

Highly recommend this salon! Melissa was my stylist and from the very beginning, she was very accommodating and friendly and it was clear her top priority was making sure that I was satisfied with everything about my appointment and how it went. The salon and its design was very comfortable and welcoming. Melissa used a beautiful balayage technique on my hair that ended up in a result that I could not stop admiring. It was exactly what I wanted! She gave me a lot of tips for maintenance that proved to be very helpful. Melissa’s kindness and talent along with the friendliness of all of the other staff and the peaceful environment that I experienced are enough to make me want to return! I appreciate my wonderful experience and can’t wait to get my hair done again!

I absolutely love La Boheme salon after just one visit and will now be a regular customer. I have had a pixie cut for little over a year and have had one bad cut and trim after the other! Either my hair was just lopped off or I had to go back or somewhere else for a different stylist to "fix" what the other had completely left uneven, too full, not blended or just not styled in anyway. My stylist (and new savior) is Courtney. She is warm, friendly, professional, experienced and all around a very nice and talented stylist. We had the best consultation I have ever had and I had 100% confidence in her because she discussed with me ahead of time what she was going to do with each part of my cut and why. I appreciated that and the fact that THAT was exactly what she did to my hair. Everything was enjoyable, from the ambiance of the salon to the finished results. She styled me at the end and ASKED if she could try something a little different versus just doing it and telling me later. She styled me with Aveda brillance gel and blow dried my hair and finished with a dab of shine/oil. The results were beautiful! My pixie is stylish, fits my personality completely, is even and clean and just looks great. I also met the owner and she took the time to come over, introduce herself and spend a few minutes talking to me. Plus, they are an Aveda salon (I know, you just can't go wrong there) and have all the Aveda hair products that I'll need. Go see Courtney, folks! You won't regret it.
