Food was amazing! I got 2 different things because I couldn't decide. Absolutely recommend. Need some outside seating to enjoy the smells.

La Segunda Bakery and Cafe is an absolute Tampa classic and a must-visit spot. Incredible Cuban bread baked fresh daily, amazing sandwiches, pastries, and coffee that never disappoint. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and made with care. The atmosphere is authentic, the staff is friendly and efficient, and it’s always a great place to grab breakfast, lunch, or coffee with friends or coworkers. A true staple in the community and one of the best bakeries and cafes in Tampa. Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic Cuban food, fresh baked bread, and a local spot that’s been doing it right for generations.

One of my favorite bakeries in Tampa, and this is the original location that’s been around for a long while. It’s got such a nice feel to it, from the vintage industrial building to the Havana feel inside. What I come back here for again and again is the Cuban toast. I get it with guava and wow is it delightful. But they have tons of baked goods and a few meal items to choose from. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve tried here. You can get coffee too but it’s very standard stuff- black coffee, or latte with 3 flavors choices. Many people also come to get bread loafs to have at home, and it is so worth the wait if it’s busy. Parking can get a little tricky but trust me that this is a prime Tampa experience to try La Segunda.

This place was humming right along. The food cases looked like you would want 1 of everything. We did get a Cuban and a few other pastries to go. The Cuban was wonderful with no flavors over powering another. My wife was only going to have a bite or 2 and she ate the other half of the sandwich. I would definately go back, plan ahead as to what you may want.

This place has been serving up legendary Cuban sandwiches, fresh-baked bread, and pastries for over 100 years, and you can taste that history in every bite. The Cuban bread is unmatched—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside—and their Cuban sandwiches are the gold standard. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or picking up a box of treats, everything is fresh, flavorful, and authentic. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, and a true Tampa institution. La Segunda is a must-try for locals and visitors alike!
