Absolutely loved our time here today! Michael and Pierce are the best guides and they made the trip completely worth it. We had a blast! The lines are fun and they both did a wonderful job on the brake (we’ve had bad brakers before) so we weren’t jostled around a bunch! Highly recommend Lake Travis Zipline 🤘
2025 Update: This is my second year trying out the Lake Travis Zipline. Once I've tried something adventurous first, then I know if it's safe for my kids. The team is communicative and helpful. They take care of everything. Just make sure it's time for you to go because there is a lot of waiting and picture taking to where there was some miscommunication on when to leave the platform. As far as bringing kids. First, I checked the weight limit. Timing was important with the heat. We were very happy with the latest time and got to see the sunset starting. They provide water many times once you cross over on the boat and there's a spot in your gear to bring it with you. Then I thought about heights and speeds. My son is 10 and he loves rollercoasters. He was nervous about Zipline though. That's why the smaller runs are nice to build up confidence to the last one. The longest and fastest in TX. My son was very proud of accomplishing all of them. He did a great job and said he loved it! He got a hat for bragging rights. Thank you Lake Travis Zipline and Yelp for such a cool experience. Now we have some bonding memories and feel stronger as a result! 2024 Thanks to Hans, Miriam, and the rest of the team we had a great time on the Yelp Elite experience! Definitely a great adventure for a date, family, or corporate event. You take a boat across the lake and hike a little bit to your final destination. The zipline down is fun with a nice view. There’s ice water along the trail and beverages/snacks at the end. Alcoholic too if you wish.
This was such a fantastic experience! First off the LTZA campus is great; they have lovely grounds with lots of chill spots to hang out, fun merch, and air conditioned portable toilets! Our tour guides, Miriam and Nathan, were both amazing- super friendly, lots of cheesy jokes, and very encouraging and upbeat the whole trip making sure no one was uncomfortable or too nervous. This would be a 5 star adventure just for the guides, but of course we are here to zipline! And the ziplining was amazing! First you take a quick boat ride across the water, then they start you off slow with two short ziplines to get the hang of it, but the fun really starts with line 3! You go over the water and get a fantastic view of the lake; tons of fun. My favorite line was the last one the 'double barrel shotgun' which was the longest, but also you got to go with someone else so it was fun to 'race' my husband down (I thought I was for sure going to win but he tucked up into a little ball and beat me by a mile!). Do note that they are serious about the hiking- while the actual time spent hiking is not that much (I'd guess maybe 30 min total) and its broken up into small bits, there is a lot of elevation climb and 80% of it is just going up stairs! So its a lot and on a hot day it would be rough (though most of the trail is shaded). You are also hiking in your zipline gear so I'd recommend longer shorts or leggings seemed like the pick. I was wearing jean shorts and it was manageable but I think leggings would have been more comfortable. They do provide tons of free water and they are serious about heat safety, reminding you to take helmets off after each ride. I also love that they have a little refreshment stand at the end so you can grab a cold beer/soda to reward yourself for all that work! This was an amazing experience and I would 100% recommend anyone check out LTZA!
This day at the lake was epic! I brought my friend David and we arrived at the check-in about 25 minutes early and got ready (got weighed in cause there's a 250lb limit), loaded on water, and then joined the other 2 guests that were in our group for the afternoon (2pm appt time). Apparently usually the groups are much bigger on the weekend, so I definitely suggest going on a weekday if you can. The wait to ride is shorter and you'll get more personal attention in a smaller group! After taking the boat across the river, we got geared up. If you're a little heavier (i'm 202lb) i recommend you tighten the leg loops cause they really do support you and take the pressure off your stomach area. My first short zip was a little uncomfortable, but the moment i tightened those straps I had so much fun on the next 4 zip lines. Before i go back to talking about the actual zip lines, I want to say the guides including Hans are fantastic chatty and playful and make the day fun! They offer lots of photo ops with your own camera for free or theirs (for sale). So the hike isn't bad overall, towards the end it does get a little steep so if you have leg or knee issues, that may be a challenge. But it's worth it!!!! The last 3 and 4th ziplines are really exhilarating, but you then end on the fifth line which is called Double Barrel because is two lines next to each other and runs the fastest and highest of any in Texas! You get to race your friend down and my friend was brave and used his phone to film us riding it!!! Thank you so much Lake Travis Zip Line Adventures for letting me check off another bucket list adventure (since i've already sky dived and bungee jumped).
I had an incredible experience ziplining yesterday! The entire adventure was made even more special thanks to our fantastic guides, Meghan and Ben. They were incredibly knowledgeable and ensured that we felt safe and excited throughout the entire journey. The highlight was definitely the stunning sunset views, which they captured beautifully in photos that we will cherish forever. Their enthusiasm and professionalism truly enhanced our experience. I can’t wait to return and do it all over again! Highly recommend this adventure to anyone looking for a thrilling and memorable day!
