The restaurant was mostly empty, with only a couple of tables occupied. Despite this, the manager refused to seat us, saying they “couldn’t put pressure on the chef, come tomorrow” once they saw we had booked through a Groupon offer they themselves advertised. It felt unfair and discriminated, especially given how quiet the place was. The experience left me questioning whether we were treated differently for reasons beyond just the booking. This was actually the second uncomfortable experience we had on our first day in Leeds, which made it more disappointing overall. I would be interested to know if others have had similar experiences.
