When I went in, I was completely ignored. The person behind the desk was talking to a very loud person who sounded as if she worked at another store/business in the area. I had a question, but I just left. I’ve worked in many stores in my lifetime, including an independent bookstore. I think it’s good manners to say hello to customers and let them know they can feel free to ask any questions. I won’t be going back.

Super friendly owner, great selection of books (and fairly cheap too). I found a number of classics for around $10 and got some great recommendations as well. Definitely will be returning!

This is the best bookstore in Hamilton. The selection (newer, older, classics, fiction and nonfiction) is exceptional. In addition to the great book selection: the vibes, music, conversation and customer service is all top notch. It is a joy to spend time here.

One of the best book shops in Ontario. The location is great, the selection is thoughtful, and for a relatively recent addition to Hamilton's excellent book store scene, Last Supper really punches above its weight. My friends and I do a book crawl of the local tome merchants each year, and we've made sure to keep Last Supper on our list of must-visit locations each time. An afternoon spent poring over the paperbacks, or checking out the rarities in Matt's glass case by the counter, is always a good time.

i appreciate this shop overall, the level of curation, customer service, the interior, the overall atmosphere, the fostering of community - i highly recommend you visit, my comments here are just based on my experience compared to other stores. i believe the costs of the used book selection, especially considering the quality and condition of those used books, is a bit odd. i have visited at least 3 other used bookstores in Hamilton (and more in other cities in the GTA) with more competitive prices for their used books and those books were in significantly better physical conditions. i spent a long time looking at several used books in this shop which were priced higher than I have seen in other, comparable used bookstores despite having multiple physical "defects" like creased spines, dog-eared pages, writing, highlighting and adhesive stickers on multiple pages, etc etc...I was very surprised at the prices for these used books for that reason, but I am still happy to support this shop. It's just that I've seen the same physical defects but for much lower pricing elsewhere
