Buying a property is far more stressful than I expected, and there were moments during my purchase where delays on the seller’s side — particularly when their solicitor was not responding to enquiries — really highlighted how important it is to have the right solicitors acting for you. During those times, I was extremely grateful to have Levi Solicitors representing me. Molly was patient, supportive and kept me informed, even when there was little movement from the other side, and Navjit ensured everything was handled properly from a legal perspective. Knowing my own solicitors had done everything required on my behalf gave me real reassurance and peace of mind. The experience taught me how crucial it is to choose a reliable and professional conveyancing firm, and I’m glad I chose Levi Solicitors. I would happily recommend them to anyone going through the house-buying process.

Very slow and problematic. We were recommended to Levi Solicitors through our estate agent, Manning Stainton, and the experience has been extremely disappointing. They held an email from the buyers’ solicitors for four weeks before informing us of the issue, causing a month-long delay to our ongoing sale/purchase. This happened despite our multiple weekly check-ins requesting updates. Unfortunately, I would not recommend their services.

I am so glad I chose to go with Levi’s! I sold and bought a new property. A lot of challenges along the way with my chain but Levi’s supported me along the way. Special thanks to Charlotte, who has been incredibly helpful! Waseem and Ashley, thank you for all your support too! Highly recommend Levi’s!!

I bought a property at auction and was quoted £834. The stamp duty fee was zero, the invoice was £95 and this was their ‘admin fee’ when challenged as the house was not eligible for us to pay stamp duty - they said it was an admin fee - surely this should have been stated on the original quotation instead of hidden. There were other items added on which we challenged but were hidden in the T&Cs of the quote. During the negotiations and handling of the purchase we were also asked to pay a first registration fee £200 for additional admin work required. On completion we paid our fees. We paid the invoice and after that have been followed up to pay an additional £130 for the HMLR costs. My research shows me that the first registration can be done for £100 (as quoted) electronically if you are a solicitor or conveyancer via the portal - or £230 by postal registration. At the point Levi solicitors decided to complete postal registration the decision to incur it was made without our knowledge and we were not advised so until after we paid the final invoice. We are now being threatened with litigation by Levi Solicitors. Our final invoice that we paid was £1992.40 which is over double the original quotation and we are being threatened with litigation.

I was unsure what star level to leave for this. Their responsiveness was good, but their pricing and cost transparency left something to be desired. They provided me a quote which didn't originally include a fee for 300 pounds as an 'overseas client fee' (unsure what this fee actually covers in terms of chargeable work). After the first sale of my house fell through they wanted to charge me for work completed which they would not need to repeat if a new buyer was found, and only after bartering with them did they offer a small 'discount' on their fees for the next sale. It's not a discount - it's not charging a client twice for performing an action once. Ultimately 1700 GBP for the sale of a simple residential property with no contractual complications is unjustifiably excessive.
