This is what a bookstore should be! Inviting, well curated (with a discernable point of view) and a broad selection. The location and the highly burnished wood floors just adds to the overall appeal of the place. A really good place for relaxed browsing and snooping.

What a fun and interesting book store! The organization is great, the little staff touches are fantastic, and the signed copies available are great. It's cozy, fun, and just plain interesting.

Lovely bookstore and publisher in a characteristic location providing a wide variety of books both in French and English. Also offers artistic merch like calendars. Bought a book I really like and would be difficult to find in the part of the world where I live. Very kind and helpful staff, love everything there, would definitely recommend! :)

This little shop was a feast for the eyes - so many interesting books of all types to choose from! If I had unlimited luggage space I might have been tempted to pick up more than the one book I purchased. Nice selection of Moomin/Mummi books especially. There were also parents and their children enjoying books in the book (opposite side of the store not pictured) which make it seem like this is a special gathering place for people, too. Also have to add that the staff was really lovely!

📚 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️📚 One of Montreal’s absolute gems. Librarie Drawn & Quarterly is more than a bookstore—it’s a beautifully curated space that feels part gallery, part literary sanctuary. The selection is top-notch: graphic novels, art books, and indie publications you won’t find everywhere. Staff are warm, passionate, and always ready with thoughtful recommendations. Prices can be a bit higher (for some books), but you’re paying for quality and supporting an inspiring independent shop. I’d much rather shop here in person than order online. I also appreciate the events they host. If you love books that spark your imagination, this place is a must-visit. Great for a quick visit to browse, pick up something unique, and enjoy a bit of Mile End’s creative vibe.
