I’m sharing this review so others can make an informed decision before booking. Lisa Eley explicitly refused to photograph my sister and her wife because they are a same-sex couple. While she framed this refusal as being based on religious beliefs, the outcome is the same: selective service and exclusion of LGBTQ+ families. My sister and her wife have been together for ten years and married for three. They are my family. I would never hire — or recommend — a professional who believes it is acceptable to exclude people based on who they love. If you are an LGBTQ+ individual, couple, or family (or if you value inclusivity), I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere.

We worked with Lisa for our formal photography session as part of our family adoption profile, and we couldn’t be happier! From the start, Lisa made us feel completely comfortable and natural in front of the camera, which is no small feat! She’s kind, professional, and has an incredible eye for capturing genuine connection. The photos turned out beautifully and truly reflect who we are as a couple. We used them throughout our adoption book, and everyone who’s seen it comments on how warm and authentic the pictures feel. Lisa’s creativity and care really shine through in every image. We’re so grateful to her for being part of this meaningful moment in our lives and can’t wait for the day we get to schedule a family shoot with our future child. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer who combines talent, heart, and professionalism!

Senior Pictures were amazing! Lisa Eley Photography was so easy to schedule with, very accommodating to our availability. Lisa was so patient and kind to my son, not to mention very sweet with my wife and I as well. Multiple outfit changes, great venue for the colors which she was intentional about asking for that info ahead of time. Honestly, I can't think of a single thing to say that wasn't 5 stars. You're in good hands with Lisa Eley Photography!

Lisa is amazing to work with! Not only is she incredibly friendly, but she has a great eye! My husband and I were very nervous to take our first look photos but Lisa made us feel so comfortable. She was so creative with our photos and constantly made sure we were doing okay. We had a large wedding party and she made sure our photos still turned out great. We can't say enough great things about Lisa and her team and would highly recommend her for any special moment you want captured.

Lisa is, simply put, amazing. My wife and I could not have asked for a better photographer to capture our special day. Before I get to the photography bit however, I'd like to say that one of my favorite things about Lisa is the fact that she did an excellent job of respecting our time and our preferences. At our first meeting, she was extremely receptive to our preferences and concerns, and was extremely easy to communicate with before, during, and after our wedding day. As a bonus, her services are quite affordable as far as wedding photography goes, and she chooses not to charge couples an arm and a leg to retain their rights to their wedding photos. As far as the day itself, Lisa was a delight to work with. She was professional and just as importantly, unobtrusive. Everyone at the event felt comfortable around both her and her assistant, and the two of them did an excellent job of capturing a mix of candid, detail, and posed shots. Neither my wife nor I really have much in the way of patience for being photographed for extended periods of time, but with Lisa, things felt natural and easy. I fully expected to get tired and burned out well before we were done taking photos, and I was surprised when it didn't happen. The whole thing, actually really, really, fun. It's been a little over a month since our wedding day, and Lisa has remained a delight to work with. I frankly can't recommend her enough, especially if you happen to be in the market for a skilled wedding photographer who charges you a fair price.
