Came in with a non-working AC/heater and also a strange gasoline smell at the rear end of my car (that occured when I started my car)....by the end of the day, owner John and his crew had pinpointed both issues and solved both problems (a new AC/heater blower installed...and a new gas cap installed ) Will be using Long Beach Auto Clinic into the future...nice to find a reliable mechanic nearby...professional and fast!
I've been going to Long Beach auto clinic for more than 10 years now and I love the place. I've referred many people there as well. John is Amazing and the mechanics are legit. I recently moved 20 minutes away from their shop and I still go there. It's hard to find a solid honest mechanic!!!
BEWARE: Dishonest and Overpriced Service, Especially if You're a Woman! I had a terrible experience with this mechanic, and I feel obligated to warn others. The first time I brought my car in, he was very kind, diagnosing a missing bolt without charging me. That made me trust him, but it was a mistake. The second time, both my tail lights went out. He claimed my headlight motherboard was blown and needed replacement, along with new headlight assemblies, to prevent water damage. He quoted me $780 total ($480 for parts, $300 for labor). Assuming the $480 was for two headlights (based on dealership prices), I agreed. When I picked up my car, only ONE headlight had been replaced. When my fiancé called to clarify the pricing and requested a copy of the invoice, the mechanic became defensive, yelled at her, and refused to provide proof of the part's cost. He then hung up and screened our calls. This behavior is unacceptable and unprofessional. It's clear I was overcharged and misled. Women should not be taken advantage of in this way! I am now filing complaints with the BAR and BBB and pursuing further action. Avoid this shop at all costs—don’t let this happen to you!
Have been coming here for over 6 years! I always get my car back in perfect working condition and it's always at a fair price! No bs!! They always call ahead of time and tell you what they discovers. It's a great place to take your car and it's a family business with family values! John is a good guy!!
John took care of my 05 Yukon. Put in new suspension components including shocks and new upper and lower control arms. The ride is great and the price was reasonable and I always feel confident in taking my vehicles to him. He has never let me down. I had also got a 2nd quote from one of my Dad's places he recommended and they way over inflated the costs of shocks. It was double to what you would see online, and way over what John charged me which just reinforces my confidence that Long Beach Auto Clinic is giving me an honest price. ***The photo is after the suspension work was done, just before putting on my new rims and tires.
