Visited this art center recently while looking for something low-key to do on a weekend. The space felt welcoming and not intimidating, even if you’re not super into art. There was a good mix of local work and a few rotating exhibits, which kept things interesting. Staff were friendly and answered questions without hovering, which I appreciated. Some areas could use a bit better lighting, but overall it didn’t take away from the experience. It’s a nice place to slow down, look around, and get some creative inspiration. I’d probably go back if they update the exhibits again.
I recently visited the Art Center downtown and had a pretty pleasant experience. The space is open and well-lit, which really makes the artwork stand out. I spent a couple of hours just walking around, and I liked how diverse the exhibits were – there was something for everyone, from paintings to sculptures. The staff seemed friendly and were happy to answer questions, which was nice. Prices for the small gift shop were reasonable too. Overall, it was a chill visit, not too crowded, and I’d probably go back again to catch a new exhibit. Definitely a good spot if you’re into art or just looking for something different to do on a weekend.
What a fabulous, strange, and whimsical place. It's a haven for artists and creatives of all sorts, chock full of dazzling surprises around every corner. The old mill is labyrinthine and confusing, but I'd happily get lost in there all day! Definitely worth checking out!
Incredible vendors with art literally everywhere. It reminded me of Asheville, NC arts district. The only downfalls were that A LOT of vendors were closed on a Saturday so we were disappointed and the smell of cat urine (no way it’s bats) in the stairwell was so overwhelming it made me question whether each floor was worth it.
Outstanding arts and crafts location. I think there are over 200 artists studios covering the three floors. Best day to go is on a Saturday when they also have an outdoor market.
