LS Tuition - Edinburgh Primary School Tutor

My son has been having weekly sessions with Sabrina at LS Tuition for several months now. We are delighted, not only with the progress he is making academically, but how happy he is in the setting and how much he looks forward to the sessions. Sessions are completely tailored to my son’s learning style, his interests and the level he’s working at. The style of the lessons really fosters a love of learning which is exactly what we were looking for.

We absolutely love Ashley—she’s amazing. Jacob usually struggles with new people due to his ASD and Global Developmental Delay, but he adores his time with her. He literally counts down the days until he sees her again. We can’t thank her enough. Not only is she a safe and trusted person for Jacob, but she also makes him feel genuinely comfortable. In such a short time, we’ve already seen huge improvements in his reading and handwriting. We’re so excited to see how much further he can progress with Ashley in his corner.

We have discovered LS Tuition over the summer looking for additional tuition support for our son who had just finished P1. From the first point of contact to the actual lessons we could not fault Lydia & her team. They are professional, caring, engaging and fun. The tutors are first class and really know how to get a child interested and engaged in learning. After a year of struggling to get our son interested in literacy & numeracy taught at school, he was suddenly coming for his lessons at LS Tuition with great enthusiasm and willingness to learn. He absolutely adored his tutor Ashley who managed to keep him focused every single lesson from the beginning to the end. We have also experienced tutoring with Sabrina and Mhari-Anne and both were fantastic. The classroom is bright, the resources are plenty, the feedback is thorough and the kindness displayed by the entire team is second to none. I cannot recommend this team enough to any parent who is struggling in one way or the other to get their child up to speed with the primary school curriculum and want them to start enjoying the learning process.

Lydia was highly recommended to us when we were looking for someone to tutor our daughter in preparation for the Edinburgh S1 independent school assessments. Our experience with teacher feedback at our daughter’s primary school had left us with us with the feeling that she was being overlooked and not reaching her potential and without any real sense of what that potential could be. Our daughter genuinely enjoyed her weekly sessions with Lydia and after 6 months her confidence and abilities had noticeably improved. Lydia will push your child to work hard but she will do it with so much kindness and warmth that they won’t realise what is happening to them! Ultimately, our daughter was offered places at all the independent school she applied for, and we will be forever grateful to Lydia for helping her to reach her potential and restoring her confidence in herself. It’s been fantastic to have Lydia’s support for my daughter. She has really helped build my her confidence and making sure she has a strong foundation in maths and literacy.
