Great experience sorting a membership with Simon. Good variety of equipment including racks, Olympic bars and machines. Wouldn’t mind mirrors to help monitor form however

Terrible experience with Luxe. Their customer service is appalling!! They don’t seem to value customers at all (and have now seen many other reviews say this). I had a really bad concussion (that is still ongoing) and couldn’t use the gym and provided a doctors note to management to request a refund of the month (I wasn’t able to use the gym once and couldn’t cancel with 30 days notice as the concussion happened a week before my membership renewal). Despite the doctors note they said they wouldn’t give me a refund (not even partial) and then as an alternative when I requested for the month I paid for to be delayed to a period when I could use the gym they also refused. I have never had this experience before and will never pay money here again.

I want to help anyone from making the same mistake as me. I used this gym for about 2 months, I tried to cancel via cancelling my direct debit (how I’ve cancelled every membership I’ve ever had). This was not enough for luxe fitness and long story short I’ve been sent to a debt collection agency, for £67!? Reading the reviews it seems I’m not the only one this has happened to, it’s obviously not clear enough. I wouldn’t recommend this gym to anyone, there are better gyms out there with amazing customer service and without the silly policies.

I’m so happy with my decision to move to Luxe Fitness, as it fits perfectly with my lifestyle and the staff, location, facilities and cleanliness are all fantastic. Team members like Channelle set such a nice tone for the day and she exemplifies someone who’s knowledgeable, skilled and wants members to have what they need for a great session. The PT ‘s are also amazing and my experience speaking with and seeing Marcel, Katie, Lou, Hannah, Pip and Jordan to name a few and their commitment to their clients and training means there’s awesome options to hit your fitness goals, whether you’re advanced or just starting out. The community is what you make it, but I’ve had lots of great chats, tips and support from staff and other members and I plan on continuing indefinitely. I’m on the Luxe + membership and would suggest you take a look at it, as the team also make a great coffee. Thank you to the Luxe Fitness Bristol City Centre team and keep up the brilliant work you’re doing - Matt.

The pros: Ok, for the money (£24 a month), this place is incredible value. The location is great if you work centrally, the equipment is all new, the place is clean and the dark/purple vibe is nice.... the music 8/10 times seems to be some deep house or trance, which I think is perfect for working out. The crowd: This is pretty good too. No big egos. If you go too late in the day you do get several gaggles of students that bunch up around one piece of equipment and most chat and look at their phones, which sucks the vibe out, but you get there everywhere and it isn't that prominent here. The cons: (or at least, caveats) No mirrors. Apparently it's too make people feel less threatened (by themselves??) That feels like a cop out, I'd guess it's cheaper than insurance, but there are zero mirrors on the gym floor... not one... not only are they a useful tool for checking your form, but you'll never been as big as when you're at the gym, and not being able to see it live feels like I'm being robbed of an opportunity to see myself at my biggest... sad times. Dumbbells only go to 35kg, and plates for the benches are limited, which is a real restriction and explains why you won't find big lifters here. The equipment is quite jammed in downstairs, so it's a bit of a pain stepping over things and people to move around when it's busy. Upstairs as much more space. They sell shakes, but there no information available on the macros... I asked and they couldn't tell me how many grams of protein.. or even how many total calories ... what maniac is training hard and then drinking a mystery shake that could be 1000 calories? Not this one. The soap in the washroom sinks is out 7/10 times. Reception often ignore you, the customer service could be better, I think it's a training thing. Overall, easy worth the money.
