Rebecca was the 5th call I made (alphabetical list provided by the bridal shop list of recommendations)- the only one willing to schedule an appointment over a year before wedding day. I requested the appointment to simply bring my dress in and discuss what I was hoping to be the final result- my fear was although the request seemed simple- it would not be possible for my dress. As a busty bride in my 40s, I was very concerned about coverage and support. One would think I just would've picked a different dress- but my dress had several similarities to my mothers- and the only one that brought tears to my eyes (and my mom's and sisters). The consultant ensured me there were options for by bust- but they all left me uneasy or not working at all. She scheduled thid consult appt within a couple weeks- and as I arrived at my appointment i became skeptical (shame on me for judging a business based on the location!) There was something about the way she talked to me, and ensured me although it would take some time, that my dress would be perfect- covering all of my insecurities- and oh, im pretty short too- so where the waist line needed to fall was way off. We scheduled the actual dress/alterations appointment for several months later, and i couldnt wait to see her agin. Rebecca completely recreate the back of my dress- but that's not all- she altered the only bra I could find even close to the cut needed to make it absolutely perfect to ease all of my insecurities. For my final appointment- the dress pickup- I was absolutely blown away. Her new location was beautiful, and my dress was perfect. Her customer service was like nothing I have experienced before, explaining the bustle and tips to make it easier to figure out with all the big day nerves. Keeping in mind I've NEVER seen an alterations bill, I did some online searching for a ball park figure in our area so I had some type of idea. When she shared with me the price, I was pleasantly surprised to see it was less than anticipated with all the custom requests she was doing. If you are shopping around- STOP! And just call Rebecca, you will not be disappointed.
Rebecca at Madisewn did an amazing job with my wedding dress alterations! She was incredibly accommodating and communicative throughout the entire process, hemming my many layered dress, fixing the shoulders to sit smoother, and adding a beautiful 7 point French bustle. When my original alteration request for pockets wasn’t achievable with the fabric, she walked me through alternative options and clearly explained the pros and cons of each so I could make an informed decision. She proactively scheduled follow-up fittings, which made everything smooth and stress-free. Rebecca is not only skilled but also so friendly and welcoming! She made me feel completely comfortable every step of the way. Highly recommend!

Rebecca was very professional. She altered my second-hand lace wedding dress for me. She worked with me over multiple appointments to get the perfect fit. She went above and beyond to make it just right. She suggested I lengthen my veil to match the look of my dress, so she used some tulle from my mother's wedding veil to make replace the old tulle. I appreciate the thought and consideration she puts into her work. As a bride, she ensured that we were not interrupted and had enough time for the consultation. I would highly recommend booking with her. She's a fantastic seamstress!
Rebecca was absolutely AMAZING! I came to her with a wedding jumpsuit and a dream—to add lace from my fiancée’s wedding dress into it—and she brought it to life in the most beautiful way. She HAND-STITCHED the lace into my jumpsuit with such care and attention to detail, and the result was better than I ever could have imagined. It was meaningful, gorgeous, and truly one of a kind. But that’s not all—Rebecca also custom made my fiancée’s veil and handled all the adjustments on both of our outfits. Every stitch was perfect. She’s so talented, incredibly thoughtful, and clearly takes pride in her craft. On top of her stunning work, Rebecca was an absolute joy to work with—kind, responsive, and super clear about pricing. She made the whole process feel easy and enjoyable, and we felt totally taken care of from start to finish.
