From the moment that Captain Dan first called (minutes after I sent an email inquiring for more information) through our event in July, I was completely satisfied and incredibly impressed by the personal customer service, prompt responses for information, quality, and value. Our guests were amazed and we were delighted. I highly recommend booking a trip with Captain Dan and his crew (they were all fantastic!) on the lovely Magnolia Blossom.
It was great to celebrate our early October wedding on the Magnolia Blossom! Captain Dan worked with us to plan the ceremony setup (we provided our own officiant), the catered buffet (the food was delicious), decorations (from a wide variety of centerpieces and color choices), provided multiple bar options (we choose to host a full bar) and took us on a lovely river cruise after our ceremony. Overall it was nice experience working with Captain Dan and his crew and we and our guests had very fun time celebrating!
We had a good, relaxing time. The ride was smooth and calm, the foods were wonderful, and the crew members were professional. The main deck cabin was a bit warm at the beginning, but the AC was able to catch up quickly. We had a big group, ~80 passengers, and were the first group to cruise that day. The temperature was around 87F and it's a bright sunny day - a perfect mid-summer weather.
Our cruise on the Magnolia Blossom was terrific! We chose a date late in October, but the boat is heated in the lower level and everyone in our group was very comfortable. Captain Dan helped me plan a wonderful corporate team event with about 20 people and everything went smoothly. We enjoyed the Fajita Bar, drinks, and beautiful scenery. We got to see a sunset and two bald eagles! The Magnolia Blossom is the very special boat and I highly recommend renting it out for your next private party/event. Thank you Captain Dan!
Captain Dan and the crew did a fantastic job for our Ceremony and Reception Venue. They were so easy to work with, went out of their way to make sure and had the wine we wanted. Very attentive servers and bartenders. Everyone at the wedding enjoyed the food and the ability to see St. Paul from the river. I highly recommend for a small wedding (under 100, we had 80 people and it the perfect size) It was the perfect way to start our married life!
