This is a wonderful place to eat! The service is amazing and the food is delicious. We had ramen with chicken and steak. They have a large selection of sushi, which is fresh and tender, delicious 🤤 We highly recommend it, family 2+1.

Food was lovely and fresh, full of flavour. Much better than the other high street places. Portion sizes were generous too. Unfortunately the service was poor, no-one came around to check how we were getting on and as it's so busy so you can't get anyone's attention. Asked for sauces and was just shouted at and then charged 0.50p for chilli oil?? No-one mention there was a charge?? They also had the nerve to add a 10% service charge to the bill? There was no service.. They took our order, brought our food out and left us to it.. why does this warrant a 10% charge? Again, hidden and only found if you looked at the receipt. Why am I paying you extra for less than the bare minimum?? Also, the charge for HALF an egg is £1.20? What a rip-off.. I do not like these deceptive practices. It puts me off coming back to an otherwise lovely meal.

Edit: 2nd visit was disappointing, had to wait 40 mins after my main for dessert to arrived, tried to get the waitress attention but was very hard so had to ask the bartender. Felt too bad to asked for service fee to be removed though 🤡 Visited during the day on Christmas Eve and had a genuinely lovely experience. The staff were wonderfully polite and attentive, creating a calm and welcoming atmosphere. And the Christmas cocktail? Exceptional. So exceptional, in fact, that I sincerely hope it finds a permanent place on the menu. The food was excellent, the service was seamless, and the overall experience was delightful. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely meal at Maki & Ramen. The highlight was definitely the sushi—we ordered several maki rolls and they were fantastic. The fish tasted incredibly fresh, and the portion sizes were generous (large rolls!). One of us tried the hot saké, which was excellent and really added to the meal. We also tried the Japanese tea; while the flavor wasn't quite what we expected, we later learned it is meant more as a palate cleanser between dishes rather than a standalone drink, which was interesting to know! All in all, a very nice experience with great food. We would definitely return.

Food was delicious. The team were especially understanding about my situation as I had a train to catch and therefore needed to eat quite quickly. I politely asked if there was a long wait on food and they confidently responded that they could be quick for me. Leandra was the person who served me and she made sure I got my order quickly. To the point where I ate a great meal and walked back to the station with about 30 mins to spare! I even ate quicker than my friends who had a McDonald’s. I ordered the Chashu Yakisoba - it was fantastic. Will definitely be coming again - hopefully without a train to catch next time 😅
