Where do I even begin? Every morning I used to dread doing my hair, and this is truly the most life-changing thing I’ve ever done for myself. Gena is beyond talented—the transformation she gave me is unreal, and I’ve never felt more confident! Not only is the service amazing, but the entire experience is unmatched. She hosts you to the MAX with alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages, snacks—she even feeds you. It feels personal and thoughtful, like you’re being taken care of the entire time. The salon itself feels like a luxury retreat with modern western, elevated rustic vibes, incredible energy, and perfectly curated music. It honestly feels like a vacation. Gena also took a lot of time to show me new hairstyles and teach me how to properly maintain my extensions so they last as long as possible and stay full and beautiful. That alone sets her apart. I will never go back. Ladies, if you’re even thinking about extensions—do it. I wake up every day ready to go and feel more confident in everything I do. It’s honestly even improved my relationship. Expert colorist who helped me grow out my natural grey so no more base color, no more roots & no need to color every 4-6weeks. Now we highlight/lowlight every 3-4 months so hair is WAY healthier! If you don’t feel like reading this whole review: just choose her. You won’t regret it. I just moved from Florida to San Diego and was honestly nervous about finding “my person” for hair extensions again. After one appointment with her, I can confidently say I found her. The salon itself is hands down the most Instagrammable salon I’ve ever been in. It’s a big, beautiful space with so much intention in every detail, plus there’s a parking lot, which makes the whole experience completely stress-free. It’s in a really nice neighborhood and just feels like such a good environment to be in. I get IBE, and her work is truly flawless. The beads are not tight, she doesn’t double bead, and the grow-out is perfect. My hair had been falling out from a previous tight application elsewhere, and since seeing her, that completely stopped. What really impressed me is that I’ve had IBE for years and no one had ever suggested a gloss until her. She did one for me and it came out phenomenal — my hair looked healthier, richer, and blended so beautifully. She washes your hair, styles it, and makes sure you leave feeling amazing. You never walk out with wet hair or feeling unfinished — you leave feeling like a work of art.

Gena is not only a master of extension placement but she also nails the color and cut every time! Not everyone has that triple threat skillset so you've found a real gem if you're considering getting extensions with her. I sought her out originally as I was hoping to find an extension stylist closer to my home (my original gal is amazing but does live about an hour away). I showed Gena a picture of what I hoped to achieve with my color and she absolutely matched it! My extensions felt comfortable and even with a few gnarly cowlicks in the back of my head I can still easily hide them because she is amazing at placement of the wefts. To top it off, her salon is this gorgeous new space with classy decor and a comfortable vibe. Hair extension appointments can take 2-3 hours at least, but she's always got beverages, snacks, and great conversation to make it seem like an hour. To top it off, as someone who has been getting extensions for years and multiple different methods, her prices are spot on for the level of expertise and service. I'm so grateful I found Gena and you will be, too!

It was my first time at Mane’ly and I was blown away. First, the salon is absolutely gorgeous!! It’s so elevated and truly feels like an escape. Gena and Jeannette could not have been more amazing, I’m obsessed with my hair! Extensions, color and cut, perfection. Laka hair is next level, the best extensions I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a few.
