We hired Mark to design an addition to our home. He and his team did an excellent job creating a beautiful and practical design which incorporated our stylistic preferences. We were also impressed by their ability to blend the new structure with the current structure. The team was very attentive and easy to communicate with and were always responsive to our input. Mark's team also did an excellent job navigating a complicated permitting process while preserving design intent, especially given the many constraints our project faced. In the end the project exceeded our expectations and has transformed our little corner of the city.

I chose Mark Brand's firm to architect my recent home remodel project. We added a home office, half bathroom, expanded storage and laundry room space in my existing single family home. His team created multiple designs at different price points (and levels of complexity) for me to choose from, and was able to take my rough requirements and create something beautiful. I was quite happy with Mark's team because they created a space for me in my home that I never would have imagined on my own. He also got my permit through the SF Building Department planning process with no delays (literally got the permit pulled in 1 day), which is the best I could have hoped for, having no prior experience with building permits. I would highly recommend choosing Mark Brand as your architect for your home renovation project.

Mark Brand is an amazing designer. We had limitation on budget. Mark was welling to work with us and gave us professional advices. Love his simple, modern and warm style design. Our home turned out functional and comfortable. 5 stars for Mark Brand!

Mark Brand Architecture is a terrific company to work with. Mark and his team are highly professional taking into great consideration not only the needs of the client but also being sensitive to keeping good will with the neighbors so projects develop smoothly. Mark is amazingly adept in navigating the permitting process, he has impeccable taste, and an elegant design aesthetic. Mark's firm did a complete remodel of our house in 2006. In 2010 because we were temporarily living on the east coast, we worked virtually with his firm to design a fantastic top floor master bedroom suite with a huge walk in closet, soaring ceilings, vast pictures windows, and gorgeous terraces. Working virtually is not always an easy thing to do but we gladly gave Mark's firm the keys and free access to our home and were more than confidant that we would come home to a beautiful addition. And we did. Our master suite is gorgeous. Mark's firm also designed the remodel for my mother's home. Now, what better recommendation can beat that?

We have worked with Mark Brand for more than ten years. Mark designed the kitchen and bathrooms and also helped us create our garage in the bottom unit of our former building in San Francisco. Mark designed the kitchen in our new home in Healdsburg. He has an exceptional and artistic eye for detail. We will not hesitate to engage him for any other projects in the future.
