I made an appointment because I only saw good reviews and she had nice photos on her website. The website encourages you to make an appointment online, so I did that, and set the appointment for 2 days out. I got a confirmation e-mail, showed up 2 minutes early to my appointment time, and couldn't get in. I buzzed the bell, and there was no answer. I waited for 5 minutes, since she could have been with another customer. After that, I called saying I was here for my appointment. She was clearly confused, saying she didn't have any appointments at that time. I said I did, I have an e-mail confirmation, and that I made the appointment online. She said she doesn't know who wrote back to me, but she wasn't in the office and asked if I could come back in an hour. I refused since I was paying for parking. She came back within a few minutes and kept going on about how I had to call instead, and that she had no idea who confirmed my appointment. I should have left, but I needed this dress for my friend's wedding as I'm a bridesmaid, and she was the only tailor in the area that I saw had both good ratings and nice pictures of their work. The appointment itself felt rushed and was less than 30 minutes. I brought my shoes and asked if I needed to wear them as she pinned around the hem, and she said no since I'll be wearing flats. The skirt still seemed too long to me, but she reassured me that it would be OK. I also needed the bust to be taken in. I'm petite but have large breasts, so I had to size up. This meant that the dress fit alright around the bust, but was a little too big for my torso. She put her pins in and they looked fine in the mirror, so I left the dress with her and trusted in her completely. She mentioned it was $50 to hem and take in the top, which was fine, and that she'd call me in a week when the dress was done. A week goes by, and I haven't heard anything. A few more days go by and I'm wondering to myself if she expects me to call instead, so *I* called, and she says the dress is ready. I picked up the dress, tried it on, and immediately knew something was off. The skirt was still too long and the top just looked...off. I figured a good steam will help with the top, but I'd rather leave and go somewhere else to hem the skirt to the length I'd like, since everything this lady has put me through has been unprofessional and annoying. I go to pay, and apparently she only takes cash. Nowhere on the website does it mention it's cash only, and she didn't say it would be cash only when she told me the price of the alterations. I didn't have cash, so I offered to pay via Zelle, and had her put in the information and review it to ensure it was all correct. I got home, tried the dress on again, and could see many more things wrong with it. I went to a different tailor to try to at least fix the hem, and he said it's crooked. If he "fixed" it, the dress would end up being too short. Aside from that, the whole top part was just not done well. He literally, without me saying ANYTHING about the dress, just saw it on me, said the last tailor butchered it, and pointed out all the things wrong with it that I was also concerned about (which is why I brought it to a different tailor). I had to get a new dress, and that one is in the process of being altered. I WOULD NOT GO TO THIS TAILOR!! I really really wanted to give this tailor a try because the other one is like an hour away, but I just ended up wasting a dress, time, and money.
