I recently purchased a Habitat brand white blouse at the store. It was beautiful and I couldn't wait to wear it. After washing and ironing as directed by the manufacturer, I wore it. This shirt wrinkled incredibly easily, to the point of being embarrassed to wear. I realize this is a manufacturer issue, not that of the store itself. What was an issue, was the young woman who begrudgingly did my return. She was very rude and curt saying, "Well, most people would steam this before they wear it, and it is cotton." I answered her that yes, of course I ironed it first, and it is cotton, nylon and spandex, a blend that normally would wrinkle less. My husband couldn't believe how rude she was either. She was very arrogant and condescending. This was first thing in the morning. Apparently she woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Don't bring your problems to work and take it out on your customers. I am a local who has shopped at your store quite a few times in the past, but as others reviewing your store have said, I can purchase the same products elsewhere.

This was my first visit to the Winston-Salem Mast General Store. Happy they were open on Labor Day. We have visited a few locations including the original store in Valle Crucis & Boone. I love their quality merchandise & great service! They had a lot of end of Summer sale merchandise that is worth checking out! I know folks especially with kids that visit just for the candy! What a fun place! Great selection of nice clothing and shoes for men, women, and children. Great camping and hiking supplies too. There is also a fun old time candy store right there in the general store. For a trip back in time you have to check out the Mast General Store

Great modern day store with a old general store fill.. Have all the knickknacks and candies you'd expect with modern camping gear, clothes, knives, and other neat things. There are 2 stories, the downstairs is shoes, clothes and a knife section. Staff are super nice and helpful. Great place to just check out. We were told to and happy we stopped in.
