Love the lavender fields massage. I’ve gotten that specific massage twice now. Both massage therapists have been excellent. The only negative has been the hallway noise both times. It must be some of the staff as there’d be no reason for anyone else to be back there as the room I was in both times is the last room on the right. The only door near there says “staff” on it. Loud hallway conversations and laughing, (obviously people who know each other) and doors opening/closing. It really messes with the relaxing vibe during the massage when you hear all this outside noise. Mateo’s is a wonderful spa so I hope this gets addressed.

Van is Amazing! As a massage therapist myself, and someone who has gotten many massages, Van gives me the best massage I’ve ever had in my entire life…. Every single time I’ve booked with her! Her techniques and knowledge about kinesiology is top-tier. She truly goes above and beyond every single time and nails every session.

Fantastic service Chelsea was a gem - my 1.5 hr massage was so worth it. Ambiance and atmosphere is classy and relaxed. Already ready to book my next appt!

The services were great. I booked a spa package but when I got there I was told it was not a package and would be charged individually. So a little confusing. Finally was offered a robe after my massage. I guess I was expecting a little more pampering with a 3 service package, nonpackage. I will go back for the massage because the girl is fabulous!!! I wish I could remember her name. I think it might be Stephanie. Cute little shop in the lobby.

Two stars because I was lied to, and my massage therapist either didn't read or didn't respect my notes when booking. I've gone twice, both times the discussion about the massage was brief. The first therapist didn't check in with me much, so I didn't advocate for myself like I should have. The second time was a disaster. They called and asked to move my massage 15 minutes later so a better suited massage therapist could work on me. This therapist Brittany either did not read or did not respect the note I put in when scheduling. When I asked for the hot stones to be placed on me while she worked on somewhere else, she hesitantly agreed, then said that no massage therapist would leave a stone placed on my body, which is a lie. She ended the massage when I brought up that I had it done at Mt. Princeton. The second to worst part was that the massage therapist I had the first time said when we talked right after the massage that I could have the hot stones placed, I just needed to ask for it. Their resolution was to speak with the owner and by the sounds of it spoke to them as if I was expecting the stones to be left their for the full time, who then conveyed to me via the receptionist that the stones could only safely be placed for 10 minutes. I would have been fine with 5-10 minutes, but I was paying the premium of the hot stones to prime the area to address my knot more effectively with less pressure needed. I really hate being lied to and that I found out that it would not happen 5-10 minutes into my massage instead of before it, ideally before I wasted my time driving 40 minutes to Mateo's.
