Came in on Monday afternoon and the person working the counter was so sweet and friendly! This place just has a very welcoming environment with a great selection on social topic books. Absolutely a great place to pick up your next read to educate yourself on different world perspectives and experiences and/or just a good piece of fictional literature.
Can't say enough good things about MATTER! I've been in a few times and am always immediately welcomed. And Jasmyn/Jasmine (not sure of spelling, sorry!) is patient to answer all of our questions! I love browsing the books and zines while learning a ton. Definitely recommend.
Matter is a hidden gem. They have a fun variety of books, games and stationery goods. Jasmine was so sweet and attentive. She greeted everyone in the store and truly seemed to enjoy being there. I’m happy to have stumbled into this store & will definitely be back.
Love this shop! The staff was super helpful and friendly and I love their incredible selection of books. So many great reads on gender, anti-racism, self care, and anti-capitalism. I stopped here during my lunch break and can’t wait to go back and spend some more time browsing everything they have to offer.
The shop/bookstore at Matter has become the first place I look for intentional gifts, books, and art. Order online, swing by to pick up and give yourself an additional 15-30 minutes to browse because you're going to find 5 other things that call to you. The letterpress nights will hopefully return, and the continuing contribution of Rik, Deb and the staff to the Denver design, art, politics, music, hang-out-and-be-welcome community is an ongoing joy.
