The quality of their work and skills excelled. All timelines were set and strictly adhered to with efficient direction and guidance. Mayfly is very professional in their communication and knowledge of the process. I had little prior knowledge of the process of publishing and they guided the process with their expertise and patience. Thank you Ryan, Julie, and Molly. You were a delight to work with and I look forward to another venture of publishing through Mayfly.

Working with my co‑publishing partners at MayFly has been an absolute dream! From day one, Julie and Ryan treated me with the highest level of respect — not just as an author, but as a creator deeply protective of my intellectual property and my vision. They embraced my work wholeheartedly and cared for it almost as if it were their own. What stood out most to me was how intentionally they honored my commitment to inclusivity. They truly got it — and made sure that inclusive energy flowed through every single part of the creative and publishing process. They even helped me find my creative illustrator partners who were EXCELLENT as well. That kind of alignment is rare, and it meant the world to me. As a new self‑publishing author, I learned so much from them. Julie and Ryan were patient, generous with their time, and always willing to explain every step in a way that made me feel empowered and confident. I would work with MayFly again in a heartbeat — and in fact, I’m already planning my next project with them! Five bright, shining stars for MayFly!

An Exceptional Book Design Experience from Start to Finish After extensive research into book layout and design companies, I chose Mayfly Book Design for my book Connecting Goals to Impacts and Outcomes: Harnessing Structured Conversations for Customer-Driven Value Delivery — and it was one of the best decisions I made in my publishing journey. From our very first interaction, the team at Mayfly delivered a personal, boutique experience that made me feel like my book was their top priority. Their process is well-structured and clearly communicated, which kept everything running smoothly and actually put us ahead of schedule. The real standout was my page layout designer. She absolutely nailed the interior design on the first pass — not a single change was needed. She took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for, including a larger font size for readability, and she drew inspiration from the book cover design to create a cohesive, visually stunning interior. The result was a book that looks and feels professionally published in every way. Beyond the design work, the Mayfly team helped with book registration and walked me through uploading to both Amazon KDP and IngramSpark. Having that hands-on guidance through the publishing and distribution process was incredibly valuable. If you're searching for a book design company that combines creative talent with a truly personal touch, look no further than Mayfly. They're a small team based in Minneapolis, and that boutique feel is exactly what sets them apart. I couldn't recommend them more highly. Thank you, Mayfly, for helping bring my book to life!

The founders and owners of "Mayfly", Julie and Ryan Scheife, are highly professional, knowledgeable, and dependable people, but also genuinely warm and friendly. Their admirably small Minneapolis book design and typesetting agency, founded in 2007, is superbly run and unfailingly responsive. The pair never deviated from the agreed-on schedule, as we worked through my new novel 'A Dreamer's Fervor' (215,000 words, 636 pages), allowing me several Zoom meetings and three reviews of typeset text. They put me in contact with a first-rate printer and also provided meticulous administrative assistance. In short, I sincerely and wholeheartedly recommend "Mayfly". Vladimir J. Working with Mayfly has been one of the best decisions I’ve made in my publishing journey. Their team is incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely invested in bringing a project to life with excellence. From the very first conversation, I felt supported by true professionals who understood both the creative vision and the technical precision required to produce a beautiful, industry-level book. Mayfly helped me create a finished product that stands shoulder-to-shoulder with major publishing houses. The care they brought to design, layout, structure, and overall presentation exceeded every expectation. They communicate clearly, work thoughtfully, and treat your book as if it were their own. I’m deeply proud of what we made together, and profoundly grateful for the experience. I would recommend Mayfly to any author who wants a publishing partner that combines heart, artistry, and world-class craftsmanship.
