Grooming itself looked fine, but the nail trim was concerning. The groomer cut one front nail too short and it bled, so they stopped trimming the rest. One of the back nails was also cut too deep and bled later. I specifically requested someone experienced and this is not what I expect from a professional service. Won’t return for grooming. Edit: Thanks for responding. To clarify, this was not a delayed friction bleed, the nail was cut into the quick and bled immediately during grooming, and another bled later that night. This wasn’t the first time this happened at this location, which is exactly why I requested an experienced groomer. Glad others had better experiences, but based on mine I won’t return for grooming.
I would have appreciated a progress report, some photos of my dog, especially doing the extra services like FitPaws and private play time and snacks. I have no evidence that any of these extras that I paid for were actually delivered. For the price, these things should be included. The staff seem nice and the facility is clean and appears to be safe. Banjo seemed to be happy. Having said that, Meadowlake is the only place I trust to care for my dogs. However, that does not mean that there is no room for improvement.
Sasha, my Siberian Husky, was groomed today by Lauren at the Galleria location. It was Lauren’s first time grooming her and it’s shedding season. When I got home my partner and I realized she did such a phenomenal job that I had to call back to get her name for this review. This is one of the best Sasha has ever looked. She went in as a big back and came out like Beyoncé LOL. Thank you Lauren!
I've brought my Basset Hound, Rea, to Meadowlake Pet Resort for years. The staff is incredibly welcoming and always makes me feel at ease when we walk through the door. Rea started as a very nervous dog who would be scared when going in and coming home from anywhere, but she warmed up quickly at Meadowlake because of the love and care the staff shows her from the moment we arrive to the time she's picked up. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with her! Even during her stays, they always communicate well when she gets selective about her eating. Thank you, Meadowlake, for loving Rea like family!
Heartbroken after my first and last visit here. I trusted Meadow Lake with my puppy, Chicago, and picked her up trembling in fear, later discovering her neck had been cut during grooming. No one on staff told me, and I had to find the injury myself. I gave very clear instructions for her haircut and specifically asked for her paws not to be trimmed to preserve her unique coloring. Instead, the groomer went back and fourth with me, ignored my request, and did what she wanted. Management’s response was to offer a small discount that does nothing to address the pain, fear, and injury my puppy suffered, nor the additional costs I had to take on to treat her at home. If you love your pet, please think twice before bringing them here. No animal should ever be harmed or neglected in this way, and no owner should have to discover an injury after leaving the building.
