I’ve been looking for a good halal steak place in Manchester for a while and after doing a bit of browsing on insta and TikTok this place popped up. The place has a very nice ambience and atmosphere, and doesn’t feel too overcrowded - nice place to go for a relaxed dinner with friends, family or loved ones. There were so many things I wanted to order on the menu which led to us ordering like half the menu 😅 We got given onion rings on the house as an appetiser which was a kind gesture before the food came. As a whole all the food was absolutely amazing, steak also being to perfection. Customer service was above and beyond, and the staff had amazing enthusiasm. From what I know this place has newly opened and you can tell they really take care into their craft. Would thoroughly thoroughly recommend. Thank you for the amazing experience.
First visit was amazing and everything was perfect. Got the ribeye steak, sausages and also tried the bone marrow (it was okay but lacking some seasoning)! Good food, and service was good too! Second visit, I still got the sausages lol but no steak this time, I got the XO flamed grilled chicken, with some chips, delicious butter and peppercorn sauce but chicken was over cooked, and chicken was not soaking up the sauce :( The mojito, desserts were nice, but the fire grilled king prawns were standard. My partner’s burger (Southern Bird) was also over cooked unfortunately. She mentioned prior that she loved this on the first visit and couldn’t compliment it enough! But the chicken was over cooked on this instance. My MIL also got the XO flamed grilled chicken, again it was slightly over cooked. It may have just been a bad day, also it was New Year’s Eve. However it wasn’t that busy on the day, there were still plenty of seating available. I’d still recommend this spot. If any of your food/ order is overcooked, do mention to the service staff. #Foodblogger #halalfoodie #manchesterfood #foodreview #MEATWORKS #steak #burger #steakhouse #halal #bonemarrow #grilledchicken
What can I say… I’d heard so many great things about this place and the hype is definitely REAL! The atmosphere is great — lively but relaxed, and very family-friendly. We tried a great selection of dishes and everything was full of flavour. For starters, we had the fire-grilled prawns, hot honey tenders, and cheeseburger dumplings, all of which were delicious. For mains, the ribeye steak, picanha steak, and Korean BBQ short ribs were cooked perfectly, and the parmesan fries were the perfect side. Dessert was the highlight for me, especially the key lime pie 😋 perfectly balanced and absolutely delicious. The Japanese milk bread pudding was also a great choice. Nothing disappointed — everything was a solid 10/10. The staff were friendly, attentive, and took the time to explain the menu, which really helped on our first visit. A great variety of food and an all-round excellent experience. Highly recommend!
Lovely time this evening, been to meatworks a few times and it’s always great. Hassan served us and was very attentive. We had starters, mains and dessert and it was perfect, highly recommend leaving some space for the key lime pie. Bill was £77 including service charge, pretty good for three courses and top quality food
Meatworks is one of those places you can confidently choose for either lunch or dinner, knowing it won’t disappoint. Our experience started with haystack onions (on the house), which were absolutely delicious. For starters, we went with the hot honey tenders and the short rib pancakes — and honestly, both were excellent choices. I’d happily order them again without hesitation. My only small critique is that the short rib pancakes were quite a challenge to eat… delicious, yes, but definitely messy in the best way. For mains, we ordered the Emmy Burger and the House Salad. I didn’t expect to love the House Salad as much as I did, but surprisingly, I think I enjoyed it even more than the burger. The flavours were beautifully balanced and worked incredibly well together. The burger itself leaned a bit more towards the classic side, and while still tasty, the caramelised onions were slightly overpowering for the taste — almost stealing the spotlight from the meat. Overall, it was a really flavourful and satisfying evening. Meatworks is definitely a place I’ll be coming back to again and again.
