My partner was an OG roller girl and my daughter has fallen in love with derby so we headed to Medusa Skates to get new gear. The moment I walked in I felt at ease. I believe Rae was working that day. She was kind and super helpful and she guided us to what we needed. Since derby is a participation sport I decided at 54 that I was going to start skating. Yep, back to Medusa and this time Glitter was there. Again, super helpful and a true delight of a person. She helped me find what I needed and now after 6 months of skating and many bruised hips, I sorta look like I’m not going to die. This is the last story. My daughter desperately needed some new wheels……so…..back to Medusa! This time Rug Rat was there. She was awesome and answered my questions about wheels and what would be best for my daughter. I went back and forth, but finally settled on a set. When I went home she was ecstatic and loved them, but when she got on the track, I really wish y’all could have seen the look on her face. The first corner she took at full speed, she didn’t slide out. She hugged the inside line and immediately looked at me with a bewildered smile, like she never knew what was possible with awesome gear. If you need skating gear, give these guys a shot. They are local owned and operated and their staff are lights out. They know their stuff because they are all skaters, they are super helpful, friendly, and just all around great people. 5 starts is not enough!!!

Great store! Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions while buying my first pair of skates. I would recommend to anyone looking to buy anything related to roller skating.

I don't live anywhere near Texas, a bit since the one skate shop in my city has horrible customer service (Legacy Skates), I took to the internet & found Medusa Skates. I've spoken with several employees and each one has been VERY helpful, patient, knowledgeable, kind, and even fun to do business with. I'm very indecisive and purchasing my first pair of Riedell 336s with ColorLab made the decision process more challenging... but they guided me. I even changed the boots once they arrived, and Medusa worked with me through that process. I'll definitely return and I STRONGLY recommend!!! Thanks Glitter, Rae, and RugRat!!

Had a great experience buying some skates here. Ray was knowledgeable, patient, and super helpful. Really knew her stuff and took the time to help find the best skates for me. Highly recommend this place.

Had a great experience at Medusa, after trying my hand at shopping online and feeling a little lost. Drove out from Houston, after realizing how few specialty skate stores there are in my area, especially with a selection catering to Derby. Rae was not only attentive but took every opportunity to teach me how the gear worked and how upgrading items worked long term. She showed impressively high attention to detail and personalized customer service despite having a PACKED shop full of customers who all needed and received assistance. Thanks, Medusa! 🐍 🛼
