Dining Chairs Purchase Nightmare aka Megafurniture Mayhem. I wish I could give a -5 or -10 rating for this company. We will never buy anything from them. Buyer beware! I don't know where to begin. We purchased 4 new dining chairs in November 2025. After the chairs were delivered we found that the chairs were about 3 inches taller than standard chairs. We contacted the store near Arrowhead Mall and the store refused to take the chairs back. The answer was "It is standard industry practices that we don't take furniture back unless they are defective or you tell the delivery crew to take them back the same day". This is a bogus excuse and bad customer service because we have returned furniture before to other furniture companies. They claimed that the chairs were not defective. In our humble opinion, they are defective because they are not normal/standard height. It is really a manufacturer's mistake. They then suggested to purchase risers online and get them installed. We ended doing that. However, we couldn't find the table risers with exact height to raise the table to compensate for the chairs abnormal height. We contacted a furniture handyman to install the risers. The cost was $180 in December 2025. We then had to call him back to shave off 1 inch from the risers. The trip cost another $180. Hence, we had to pay $360 extra on the top of $1865 we paid for the 4 chairs. This was a nightmare purchase. I rarely post reviews but I wanted to warn other potential buyers to stay away from Mega Furniture.
